2 years old!

Our little girl has turned 2!!

We love Brooklyn so much. She is an absolute delight and has the cutest personality. She turned 2 on July 22nd! As I mentioned in the last post, we have been in the process of moving to Utah. Dakota came home from his mission to Madagascar on July 23rd!! So, this meant we drove out to Utah on the 22nd. So... not the best birthday, but we got Brooklyn yummy treats and we celebrated her birthday a couple days later. She got a bike! She also got a big stuffed animal giraffe, stickers, coloring book, and and a sprinkler caterpillar to play in. It was a fun party!

Some things about our sweet 2 year old..

• says lots of animal noises
• plays peek a boo
• gallops
• says "oh no!"
• sleeps well
• eats lots of chicken nuggets and fries
• "ashes" is what she says when she wants to play ring around the rosie
• she has a baby doll that she loves to take care of
• she blows kisses, says bye and night
• says when she poos, and has went pee in her potty once
• knows body parts
• works iPad perfectly
• barney, barbie, daniel tiger and curious george are favorite shows
• Takes purse everywhere! And sunglasses.
• at the ultrasound for new baby said "wow" and "baby"
• Sings
• Obsessed with bunnies, she always sleeps with her stuffed one at night
• Counts
• knows a few Colors 
• says thanks and thank you

She really is the cutest girl I could imagine. She is sassy as can be, and is always carrying her purses, wearing sunglasses, and charming everybody. She speaks a lot! She has quite the attitude, but is also super sweet. She makes us laugh constantly, and we really are so thankful for her. We love you SO much Brooklyn!

The Big Move

A lot has happened in these past few months! The biggest thing is that Mike got a new job! Here is the story...

For the past little while we have been looking for jobs in Utah. We always knew we wanted to end up back closer to family, and we felt it was a good time. After a few months of not really hearing anything we weren't thinking it was going to happen anytime soon. Then, Mike ended up getting an interview with BAE Systems in Ogden. That went really well and they offered him a job. The day before he got the actual offer letter he got a phone call from a different company in Brigham City called Veracity. They quickly interviewed him over the phone then we came out over the 4th of July weekend for an in person interview, and they offered him a job. It was a better offer and the job sounded more like what Mike wanted to do. The other company tried to make their offer better but it was too late, and Mike accepted the job with Veracity! It is a really small company, with just a few employees in Brigham City. He will now be considered a software engineer. We felt this job was a great choice for lots of reasons. Mike seems excited about it and we finally get to be closer to family!

We have absolutely loved Colorado. However, with Brooklyn and another kid on the way, we are especially excited to be closer to family, and we couldn't really ask for a better location than Brigham City. So, we are in the process of selling our house, and when we came to see Dakota get home from his mission Brooklyn and I stayed here! Mike went back to finish packing the house and he is on his way out. Monday, August 3rd, he starts his new job! We are fortunate to be able to stay with my parents until we find new housing. Things have been absolutely insane, but we are thankful for the new opportunities and all of the blessings that we have been given. The timing has been smooth, and we are just so excited for this next step in our lives. It is so nice to be able to call Utah home again!!
