Vegas 2010 - Day 1 - Shake That Ass

I'm going to show lots of pictures, give a background on a day-by-day basis and keep the naughty bits to myself. I'm sure I'll forget stuff and so I'm counting on the girls to fill me in if I do...

Auri, Noelle, Lisa, Odum, Toni and I all got up at the ass-crack of dawn Friday morning and hopped on a plane to Vegas. I've said this before and I'll say it again... next time I'm scheduling the flights! The night before, Cassi flew in while Jen and Kasian drove to Sin City.

The five of us went to the hotel to store our bags until check-in while we waited for Cassi to join us. Jen and Kasian had a car so we told them to meet us at The Wynn for breakfast. During breakfast, Noelle and I presented our group with their surprises.... matching jammies! You'll see a pic of us in them later on.

As usual, breakfast was delish. Why I don't just order the damn buttermilk pancakes for myself, I'll never know. Right here and now, I vow to order them next year! They're sooo yummy! That first shot at the top of the post was missing two of us, so we stopped again on the way out for a more proper shot! I love it! Thanks to the nice man who took it for us! It'll go nicely on my wall with the collection of others.

After breakfast we decided to head toward Town Square Mall to get some shopping done... we wanted the rest of the weekend to chill appropriately! Half of us piled in Jen's car, the rest took a cab. Those of us in the car stopped at the Vegas sign for a group shot. Aren't we cute?!
The mall was fabulous, as was the MAC store... my little slice of heaven. Auri got some H.A.W.T. stilettos and the rest of us got some fun new makeup. When they were done shopping, the other 5 bitches (hahaha!) conned Jen into giving them a ride back and left the 4 of us bitches (Noelle, Auri, Cassi and myself) to fend for ourselves. So what did we do? We went for cocktails, naturally. The chips/salsa/guac and cocktails at Lolita's Cantina were divine! I definitely recommend them! Keep in mind, we went in the middle of the afternoon so we missed out on the hoppin' party that night.

We finally found a taxi back to the hotel and hung out until it was time to get ready and head to Zumanity! If you have the chance to go, then go. It's a really fun show, very sexy, totally naughty and entertaining all together! I wish it would have laster a little longer, but such is life.

After the show we did some people-scrambling (those that didn't go to the show met up with us, Noelle went back to recuperate since she got sick right before we left) and ended up at our old stomping ground, Harrah's. We actually ended up at RockHouse at Imperial Palace next door and danced our asses off for the rest of the night! (I really hate that this pic is so blurry because it's so cute!)
This is one of the dancers/bartenders at the bar... this woman could shake her ass like it was goin' out of style! If she ever offers lessons or starts teaching a class, I'm so there!

We tried hard to stick to our curfew and headed back to the hotel around 2:30 or 3ish where we planted our asses in the lounge at the bar and ate some drunk food. Eat before you go to bed... that's the golden rule to not getting sick after a long night of drinking! (P.S. Those are Auri's sassy shoes to the side of Kasian's ass.)

When the Freaks Come Out...

I had a bit of a hellish week last week, so on Saturday night I wanted to go out and let loose. Apparently that was everyone else in Salt Lake's idea as well because Noelle, Rose, Jenn and I were witness to some of the strangest/funniest people watching EVER! Here's a little run down...

• First of all, there was a chick dressed up in a naughty Santa outfit who was apparently trying out for her first porno movie. She was grinding all over and humping EVERYTHING! It was gross. We decided not to touch anything she'd come in contact with for obvious reasons.
• Then there was an old man (who I felt totally sorry for) who was there with his oxygen tank walking around with it on his shoulder and a scotch in his hand.


• Next we had the man who, every time a techno song came on, would whip out his led lights and twirl them around like he was at a rave... then he would ever-so-slyly turn them off and slip them back in his pockets when the song ended.


• There was a group of three women there together who looked like the Witches of Eastwick. Very strange women... and when they climbed up on the stage to dance, we got mooned by 3/4 of the big girl's butt crack (when I say big girl, she was my size). Have some self-respect, woman! Wear clothes that fit and pull up your effing pants!
• There was a couple there that I'm pretty sure were having sex right on the dance floor. The woman was about 40 and had her boobs pushed up so far they almost touched her chin... and she was wearing a halter top that cut down so low not much was left to the imagination. She was dancing with a man who was at least 60 years old.. he'd lift her up on his lap so she was straddling him and they just humped their way around the floor. Ewww!


• There was a chick there in a little blue dress that barely covered the cheeks of her ass... she had nothing on underneath!


• There was also a dude there who looked like he'd been electrocuted. Instead of having a traditional mohawk that goes from front to back, his hair was basically a horizontal mohawk in front. I couldn't stop laughing.
• Dont' forget about the couple that decided to make out RIGHTNEXTTOOURTABLE for at least a good 5 minutes without coming up for air. I kept waiting for him to undo his pants.


• There was another dude who would just stand on the stairs to the side of the stage with a really creepy grin on his face and clap his hands... golf-clap style.


• Our favorite guy who stretches and wears knee pads was there. He was dancing his usual crazy style but it got better that night. When the song "G6" came on, he would make a G and a 6 with his hands every time it was said in the song. Weirdo!


• There were two women there who had to be in their forties that were smashed beyond belief. There was one in the tube top who was the worst off and I kept waiting for her to barf. She stumbled all over the place and I don't know how she didn't get kicked out.


• Finally, there was a woman who had been dancing on the back stage and when she decided she was done, she went to get down by climbing over the back railing (which is actually very low)... except she missed her footing and fell on her ass.

Needless to say, it was a very entertaining night. No alcohol was needed. We just sat at our table in disbelief and laughed at all the crazy people!

30 Days of Truths - Day 1

Ok, so I guess most of you have seen the 30 days of truths thing going around, and since I've been in a bit of a blogging funk lately, I decided to join in. I may post 30, I may double them up and post 15... who knows... but here goes!

Day 1 - Something you hate about yourself.

Well, this is off to a bright and shiny start, isn't it? I, like most people, have quite a few qualities that I dislike about myself ranging from attitudinal (yes, I made that word up) issues to physical things. I think mostly, though, I hate that I allow other peoples' actions and emotions to affect me so profoundly.

If I'm with a friend who is in a bad mood, there's a pretty good chance I'll inherit the negativity and be pissy for the rest of the day. It's almost like it happens by osmosis. I need to develop an impermeable membrane that surrounds my entire body and avoid it altogether.

In addition to that, my emotions can be very easily influenced by the actions and/or words of others. If someone says something or does something to me that may not be exactly what I was anticipating, you're probably going to encounter the Bitch in me for days to come.

Why do I let these things affect me? I need to quit it! Any suggestions?

3 Days in Vegas = 3 Weeks of Recuperating

Well, we survived another Girls' trip to Vegas... barely! I can't believe we were successful in getting so many of us together over the course of 3 days. And the fact that Cassi was able to join us all the way from Arkansas made the trip all the better!

I just scanned through all the pictures on my camera and I can't wait to get them loaded onto Facebook, and share them on here! Yes, there are quite a few that didn't turn out, but there are a ton of adorable ones, too!

The last of us arrived back in Salt Lake this morning at 11:30... I'm not quite sure what everyone else did, but by the time I got home at 3 PM, I was exhausted and climbed into bed. I woke up at 7:30 PM! I felt like I could sleep the rest of the night and into tomorrow with no problem!

I'm taking off for Oklahoma again tomorrow afternoon and I'm sooo not excited about it! Keep an eye out for a recounting of the Vegas trip and I think I'm going to participate in the 30 days of truths thingey... but I've gotta find out more about it first. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Vegas in T-7 Hours!

Well kids, it's that time of year again... No, it's not my birthday. Not quite Thanksgiving, unless, of course, you live in Canada. So what time is it? It's time for my annual girls trip to Vegas! My flight leaves in approximately 7 hours, which means I'm going to get maaaybe, 4.5 hours of sleep. Yippee! If my friends are nice, they'll let me sleep on the plane. We'll see how that goes!

Cassi, Kasian, and Jen have already arrived in Sin City and are anxiously awaiting for us! There are five of us flying out in the morning, and another two of our group flying out around 10 or 11 AM. I cannot wait to get everyone together! In addition to that, Noelle and I have surprises for everyone, and I am so excited to see the looks on their faces when we give them to everyone!

I promise this time I'll return with stories and actually share them with y'all. But only the stories that can come back with me... you understand, I'm sure!

Trying To Get Ahead and Other Observations

I feel like I'm drowning in my house. It seems like no matter what I do, I can't seem to get ahead and it's driving me batty. I get home from work every Thursday and I feel like the only thing I have to look forward to all weekend is cleaning and laundry! By the time I leave again on Monday, I don't feel like I've gotten anything accomplished. I think I need to be better about making "weekend to-do lists" and sticking to them!

On top of destroying the couch and the carpet, the dog has started digging in the backyard and is tracking dirt and mud in the house daily now. Being that we live in an unfinished development, there is construction going on all around us, and there is an inordinate amount of dust in the house! I should try and dust everyday, seriously. Living with someone who doesn't quite get the need for things to be cleaned on a regular basis is very frustrating.

Do you guys have any advice for trying to get ahead of myself?

I have totally neglected my blog for the last week and I feel guilty... which is totally ludicrous because it's MY blog and I mostly write it for myself. The fact that anyone else reads it is just a totally awesome extra bonus. That being said, I need to get rid of the guilt.

Working out of town on a weekly basis is a hell of a lot more difficult than I ever thought it would be. I think most people feel like traveling for work affords such a glamorous lifestyle, but I'm here to tell you, it doesn't. Yes, it's fun at first. And yes, it's very nice being able to explore new places that you probably wouldn't have ever visited otherwise, especially since your employer pays for it. But I think the cons outweigh the pros most of the time. Like the fact that I can't seem to get ahead!

On top of all that, I'm getting ready to leave for Vegas in a couple of days and I've still got a ton of crap to do. So what am I doing? I'm blogging! That being said, I've gotta run. I will be back tomorrow and try to get a few more posts up this week.

Random Tuesdayness - I've Been Working on This for 5 Hours

It's Tuesday and I'm in Oklahoma. Is it strange that Alabama and Oklahoma are so similar? As in, similar sounding? Half the time I say Alabama when I mean Oklahoma. It's starting to piss me off. Welcome to RTT. If you wanna play, go talk to Keely.

I need to actually START using my Google Reader. It's there for a reason. I've been sooo behind in reading everyone's blogs! Shame on me! I just cleared 415 items out... I'm trying to read at least one post from everyone that I've missed in the last few weeks.

Have I mentioned how much I love Glee? The episode tonight was quite the tear-jerker! I don't want to cry when I watch Glee! I want to dance and sing and twirl around. Ok, not really, but you get the point. Anyway, it was a pretty serious episode and I really enjoyed it.

I stayed "home" sick today. I got up at 6:30, took a shower, and then decided I didn't have the energy to go to the office. This cold is pissing me off, so I'm taking a sick day. I'm pretty angry about the whole thing... I had a sinus infection 6 weeks ago! Damnit! Well, hopefully it'll be over and done with by the time I'm ready for my vacay next week. I got to sleep in until 2 PM this afternoon, so hopefully that'll help combat the virus!

Yesterday I mentioned I got a pretty kick-ass room at the hotel. I've got pictures now... Seriously... at least half of the room is windows! I'm totally requesting this room next week. I love it. It made staying "home" sick today totally tolerable. Nevermind my room-service-lunch sitting on the side table.And just for the record, this post pretty much blows... I know I had some fun stuff to add but I can't remember it now... and since I started this 5 hours ago, I think it's time to call it done. I'm outta juice and it's time for bed. It's Monday Again ... Already?

Apparently I have a blogging problem... not that I blog too much, but the fact that I've been MIA for the better part of each of the last 3 weeks. In the meantime, let's have a weekend recap:

Friday - I did some work, tackled some laundry, went to therapy, spent some money shopping and went to dinner with the girls at Olive Garden.

Saturday - Got my hair did, went to lunch with Mum, ran some errands, went to Noelle's for dinner, finished the Vegas Mix cd, and had a beer with the girls at A Bar Named Sue.
Sunday - Fretted that I only had one day left of my weekend, packed for Oklahoma, watched football, took a nap, went to the parentals' for dinner, hung out with Auri and watched "Get Him to the Greek." P.S. If you haven't seen it, go watch it ASAP. Stay away from the Jeffries and the furry wall.

This brings me to today, Monday, and I'm back in Oklahoma. I can't say I'm thoroughly excited to be back on the road this week, however, I'm delighting in the fact that I got to travel here First Class (yippee!!!) and I scored (what I think, thus far) one of the best rooms in the hotel. I'm in a corner room, it's nice and spacious, and at least half of it is windows! Go me! I'll take pics and show them to you tomorrow.The official countdown to Vegas (which hasn't been official until now) is 11 days! OMG! Well, the Vegas Mix is done and ready to go, so I can cross that "to-do" off my list! My friend Candace asked me today if I was ready for the trip... I told her I have this trip and next week's business trip to worry about before I start getting ready for Vegas!
