Not sane anymore

I'm trying to write a talk for stake conference and it is driving me crazy!

You might notice that it is the middle of the night right now and the only thing that I can come up with are one liners to start it off and none of them seem appropriate to say in front of one of the twelve apostles.

My topic is how to make our home more like the temple. Any thoughts?

In the sixth grade at our school three times a year they break the kids down into groups of 6 or 7 people, then give them a list of 6 books to read.

After the books are read they gather in the cafeteria for a Battle of the Books.

This is Sydney's group, the "Non-fiction Nerds"

They came in second place!

I read all of the books and they were surprisingly enjoyable.

I especially liked Fever 1793 and Gregor the Overlander.

"Hey Mom, can we go swimming? It is ssoooo hot outside!"

"The water is really cold."

"So, we don't care"

"OK"

Whenever the kids ask me if they can go swimming I always say yes. When they jump in, they find out the water is too cold in just a couple of seconds. If I say no they will bug me about it all day.
