another camping trip -

last weekend we went on another camping trip to see more of our great state.

yep. the chubbers is playing a video game in the middle of this national park.
we are awesome parents.

yep - that'd be ashes from the fire pit he got on his face - not a real black eye.

this little man is such a joy! and he's a great camper - doesn't even complain at all. :)

these are our traveling companions.
we went on a scenic drive and had a picnic one day.

all in all - a great trip in a beautiful place.

camping 101

last weekend we took the 'ol trailer out for its first trip this season and for the second son's first camping trip ever.
and it was wonderful! he did great and we had a great time in a beautiful campground.

i love, and i mean ABSOLUTELY LOVE, this picture of the hubbers and the chubbers. it was such a funny moment so i made the hubbers go get the camera for me. the chubbers looked so small in this camp chair - and i had to capture the moment.


*note to reader - this picture is actually really deceiving. this was taken after i had been up at 5:30 a.m. feeding the second son and had gone back to bed until being woken up when this picture was taken, at 8:30 a.m.
please don't think i sleep in.

the chubbers is easily entertained in the great outdoors with his father's smart phone.
see that smile? could you tell him no?

later that weekend we celebrated D's 4th birthday.

this little guy recently had his first hair cut and he is stylin' with his mohawk.

and to prove it - we went to the zoo.
I hope the chubbers and the second son remember it - cause I'm not going back for awhile.

the chubbers wanted to hold his ticket the ENTIRE time we were there. it was kinda cute.

all in all - it was a great day - and the kids were definitely tuckered out.
the moms probably were too.

my advice - if you're going to go to the zoo - go as soon as it opens. and leave when you start sweating.
