So ends all the CCTs this week! Finally I think I'm going to enjoy an early night; will sleep at midnight haha. Looking ahead this term's going to be a real fun one with so many stuff to do and yes we shall all look forward to it!
The 2007 jersey has arrived. Why am I not surprised that we just took RJ's one and RJ took our green 2006 one. Oh eventually we're all going to use the green one just that this white one's for training haha oh well it's nice to wear a JC jersey!
I really have to train hard to make it through nats this year. It's my very last year and we've got to set things right around here, no more thrashing around like nonsense. Remembering last year's nats I hope this year's will be so much more.
I want to have our lane on the final day. The lane for Raffles, the lane for legacy.

Haha went to watch the relays today and spent many hours sitting in the same position trying to study physics so I got all sore and stiff. But anyway good job Raffles we did okay and we're gonna get much better in the next meet.
103-2 that's the first tag for my last year in RI.

Haha so went the 4x200m I was running the second leg and we started off quite behind so I was indeed quite behind but around the curve I caught up and fought with this person on lane 7 or something and I hope I did beat him. And eventually we got 4th and qualified for finals. We were all quite happy since we hadn't qualified for anything much in our past few years haha.
Then I went up the stairs back to the cosy RI corner in the stadium steps and my left calf cleverly decided to cramp up. Bomb. And there went my 4x200m finals sigh.
Haha still, nothing can pull me away from the reality that I have physics, philo and chem major tests this week and I can't just stop and mull over the fact that maybe I shouldn't have gone up the steps that early or whatever nonsense reason I can give. Haha tomorrow shall cheer the guys on 4x100m. ALL THE WAY RAFFLES!

The track season's starting with SPH relays this saturday and sunday! Final year I'm running for RI I will really really try my best and I hope somehow my best is good enough. 4x200m heats/finals on saturday, maybe 4x400m finals on sunday. Been tripping over with a huge bout of flu over the week and now feeling loads better, just have to keep strong and run my races well enough.
I'm still racing to finish holiday homework haha. Nothing much else.
Oh anyway on tuesday titus paul yansheng and I left school around 9 by the bishan main road gate and we spotted this poster just by the bus stop. Being the very inquisitive (and by then, incoherent) people we are, we spent quite a while staring at the thing trying to spot the ten differences. And eventually we did!
Then titus happily went to the other side of the poster and freaked out and went "and I thought I felt very smart" so we went over and had a good laugh.
Hahaha shall start on book review now!

It's a horribly stormy start to the new term. The general office is dusty like crazy; we had to bear the horrible heat and dust in the midsts of announcements haha I hope it gets better really soon!
Thankfully I still have enough time to finish up on my remaining homework. And oh yes today's training was okay enough despite the flu and everything. I'm gonna run 4x200m this saturday/sunday at SPH relays! Oh whatever happened to 4x400m haha nvm!
The new term's going on and stuff we all have to press ahead strong and make the best of our lives. Sometimes it seems like we're trying desperately to tide over our bad times, struggling through and hoping we'd survive and make it through nicely in the end. Our days aren't just for surviving through! There's so much more we can do, perhaps we just need a little bit of sleep, happiness, encouragement, ideas and passion haha. There's so much which goes into one day and someday we'll know whatever we do will be worth :D
Oh anyway an update on last christmas's Corrinne May concert! (Looks like cmay got hospitalized sometime after that oh man) but haha there was her blog post on the christmas concert in singapore and LOOK WHO WAS THERE

I'm at my dad's office now, just went to fill a bucket half full of water to clean up and got water splashed all over myself as a result of horrible clumsiness. AND trying to start on my homework haha it seems really hopeless but hope I will pull through!
Few minutes ago I encountered this convo on msn where this figure commented that my life sucks. Haha maybe to you it really does, I don't think so! It's all how we shape our lives to be the way we want it to be. I choose to indulge myself in the workings of Raffles and just totally commit, and as much as I miss out on the usual lives we all would want to live, it's worth it. Haha it all lies in our choices.
Our choices define who we are, where we go, what we will become. And if we don't make these choices we'll forever be hanging. I don't want to be someone in between hanging in the air still yet to decide. I want to follow a path confidently, firmly, with strength. As much as these paths are always cloudy.
Haha oh well thinking too much again I shall start on work!

I'm having post-convention blues all over again. Haha but I seriously have to start work or I'm some goner. Actually I think it's already too late haha but nvm shall rush it through!
Yay finally training tomorrow I hope my back turns out okay. Been resting quite a fair bit and I don't feel much pain anymore! SPH relays the next following weekend, we've got so little time but we'll make it great.
The track season's gonna end in July. I'd have run my last race for Raffles.
Prometheum Day's in September. I'd have done my last part for RIPB.
School ends in November. Chinese O's soon after. I've have done my last exam in Raffles.
K there's rj but it's already different.
There's only 3 terms left before we leave ri I really don't want to go! Rush rush.

Haha RGPSC rocked! 3 days full of fun and memorable experiences haha I shall post it all day-by-day here!
RGPSC DAY ONE
SEE THE POTENTIAL!
Well we arrived in our groups not knowing anybody but soon we all warmed up to each other pretty fast! Had station games and stuff haha we got splashed using water bombs by our own facilitators then Henry splashed one back right at our facil. Okay I don't have photos cos my phone was kept away but I shall draw abit here and there!
Oh yes before that we had our session about seeing the potential in others. It was a good session pointing out to us that it's important to identify the key talents in others and being able to harness them and also to bring out the best in people. Haha indeed sometimes we need to probe while not letting the probed party know it, and it really takes skill to do it.
Haha we planned our concert after that and then after singing some songs we were on our way home. Mediterranean stayed up late to rush the script and we did very well! Haha oh since our group name was the longest in the entire convention we decided to shorten our group name to meditate so we had the funky meditation poses :D
RGPSC DAY TWO
ENCOURAGE THE CAPABLE!
Day two started equally as high! It was so fun haha we had many games in the morning including wacky doubledare icebreakers which really gave us a huge source of entertainment haha. We had further concert prep and we figured out the script and dance!
Haha then there was the session about encouragement. True enough the whole world may as well work on clockwork as we improve in efficieny and drive and we all grow to be rational and strong people but in the end, encouragement makes all the difference haha it's quite magical how we can determine our lives via the way we speak and how others speak which affect us.
Then there was scavenger hunt after lunch where I got lost halfway and strayed away from my group and I got kidnapped. Then I was made to look emo and stay in a lonely corner alone and wait for my group.
Okay in the end they came back for me. We also chased Kevin for one of our flags! It was a really fun thing to do :D
Oh then after that we went for dinner, got caught in the rain (ahem) and then we had our concert! Mediterranean did a musical (skit song dance altogether) and we pulled through nicely! Haha in the dance I was supposed to throw the cap duing the final part haha it was a very wacky thing. WELL DONE MEDITERRANEAN! Haha our skit was horribly 7-8 mins overtime meaning a total of 15 minutes which cost us the top 3 positions but hey I got an extra point for being the evil judge!
It ended really really high. We were wondering why we had to leave.
DAY THREE
ACHIEVE THE IMPOSSIBLE!
Once again the usual doubledare games and such. Haha I realized every morning 6.45am I'd be at the Forum Macdonald's sipping latte and preparing for the day! Nvm haha. Well today the session on achieving the impossible was about pitting ourselves against adversity and tough jobs and following our passions to do what we want to change about.
Haha we had to paint our psc collage thingy in the hot sun using insoluble paint material and so in the process I got horribly smeared but it's a total work of art! Thank you guys hahaha!
The shirt was originally black la so we added stuff at the side and on the back haha it was funny.
The closing ceremony was some bomb we had a very nice video and very nice songs to dance sing and hop to. It was really inspirational and uphigh! It was really great to see everyone so open and receptive of one another haha then everyone got emotional and the chairpersons started to tear in their speech it was such a nice time we had these three days, we'd hope they'd never end!

Lol this week was a big rush. I can't exactly remember what happened when and stuff but hmm I lost my 400m so yeah sigh no individual medals this year. Well I told myself I wouldn't go home if I don't get silver yeah so I didn't, and went to Tom's house to rush BCG for the presentation the following morning!
Was stoning by the bus stop outside newton station for 20 mins for zhengxuan and tom to arrive. Haha saw lots of interesting stuff happening on the road and stuff. It was a rather cold night!
So after we reached Tom's house we joked around for awhile until everyone arrived and thus the war began. Papers, presentations, scripts, coffee, sweets, apples, biscuits, polo balls and soccer balls, nike and adidas shirts. Haha it was total fun but it was a battle with time as we rushed to perfect our presentations.
Haha we left the room in a total mess but we cleaned up abit and left the rest to yanzhi for job week. THANKS YANZHI IF YOU READ THIS! Haha.
AND YES WE GOT TOP 3 AFTER AN ENTIRE BARELY SLEEPLESS NIGHT OF HARD WORK. THANKS GUYS YOU ROCK.
Oh anyway today I was sleepily walking around and I saw a pair of Adidas Tie Breaks. They're so nice! Haha I wish I can happily have a huge pile of money and spend it on a fullblack crumpler, a pair of Adidas Tie Breaks and a new phone or something. Haha sheesh my nice brown bag just shouldn't have broke.

HAHA YES 400M HEATS TODAY CLOCKED 58 (but 100m semis cmi so byebye 100m finals)
Been lagging almost in all aspects of my life because of the really successful PI so here I am finally bringing a little late update!
RAFFLES INSTITUTION PREFECTORIAL BOARD INVESTITURE 2007
Well the final night before PI everyone really came together and the spirit was really there and stuff! Really much thanks to all prefects who were there and shared the fun and highs of the entire night till eleven plus.
There's the decor, ever so legendary part of the PI since we entered RIPB two years ago. Every year it's always a unique thing! I remember two years ago we pinned the backdrop onto the cloth hall wall using thousands of pins. A year ago we used cellophane and stuck marine animals using crepe paper onto it and making it 3D! And now it's just like that. Rocks.
And here's the trio with the red butts probably from all the mess of paint and chalk!
And looking at the small insignificant sign for introducting RIPB during the ceremony, you can't help but laugh at the fact that this small thing is gonna surprise the crowds so much. Well a little remote control car will speed across the aisle and a live feed camera will follow it, eventually showing this sign on the big screens!
And here's our great guestbook which is this fun box with light bulbs inside to illuminate certain parts of the surface! Nicely done by Bertrand and gang.
Haha the entire ceremony went flawlessly with the exception of the remote control car crashing into the chairs along the aisle haha sheesh. But it was really great. And it all went well altogether. And so successfully done was the
POST-PI GATHERING @ BUKIT BATOK CSC!
Oh it's a wonderful world out there gazing at the lazy pools in a little treehouse in the civil service club. Hahaha.
We went bowling and we kept bowling until 7 which we had a real fun dinner and then we continued bowling. Haha and the bowling shop has loads of cool stuff like these bowling balls. Like imagine I had the smiley one and when I bowl it can smile right back at me ahaha nvm!
Yeah that was about it. Shall get more photos from the other prefects.
And oh btw one random thing which happened while I was bowling last week. My bowling ball didn't return back to me after I bowled and I wondered why. Eventually my entire family bowled and none of their balls returned. So we called intercom and they took the machine apart and realized a bowling pin went all the way up and got stuck. JUST LIKE THAT!
AND MY ADISTAR SPRINTS HAVE ARRIVED HOUYES.
Now I shall start on english AQ and philo essay! This week feels a whole lot more free than the previous one haha.

It's been a horrible week with 3 CCTs and loads of work but yes we survived rather nicely, well even though I strongly feel my tests went horribly wrong and I should just start to commit to work more now that PI is over and we have a little short break.
Words aside PREFECTS' INVESTITURE 2007 was a great success and thank you so much RIPB! The final night of preparations before the actual PI on wednesday really showed me that RIPB has got what it takes to stay united and achieve the (almost) impossible. Shall post more with photos later when I get home or something. Now I'm at Jerome's house waiting for post-PI gathering at Bukit Batok CSC which is crazily far away from my house. Singapore should be smaller.
I realized I haven't been doing much, other than trying to finish assignments rushedly and finding a random picture of a totally white Nike Air Force One and adding in colours all over using Fireworks. Haha it's fun lah but it's really some waste of a time. But till then cya gonna enjoy quite a bit with pool, bowling, langaming, DINNER and probably watching a soccer match with RIPB at the CSC!
Monday's the 400m heats. Top qualifier or I'm not going home.
