Been spending the whole day lazily on physics and chinese and unfortunately I've been studying at a rate too slow, mind filled with worry and doubt over other pressing matters.
Now, the essence of these remaining days building up to the final EOY exams, is focus, and patience. I really need them.
Focus is crucial; I need to stay awake in these moments of fatigue. I need to stay sharp on the things I need to cover. I need to stay undistracted, away from the many things that take my concentration away. I need to find a place within my mind and a place somewhere to just open up and let the information in. Time is of essence. I can't let this fade to waste.
More importantly is the patience. 47 days lie ahead to the end. And I'm working with the end in mind. For when these 47 days are over, everything will come back to me. Things will look up and I'll be back to where I was. For now I've just got to confine myself to the books, and the track.

OF THE ESSENCE
Can you give me this reason, to hold on till the end of my days. The days marked forty-seven, I just can't wait till this all ends.
Can you give me this reason to know that I'm strong, and you're strong too. Can you let me know if I - still have your backing, cos you have mine.
When these days end, after the forty seven; Things will look up to a brighter sky, shining in my eyes, clear in my heart.
I don't know where this path goes. I'm lost, but i'm following this only lead I have. Tell me I'm blind; but I can still feel my way through the darkness right into where I know I'll be fine.
Please tell me this path goes home.

Was really pressed through and through this week and didn't really have much time to post! Oh man it was a bottleneck week and I'm really thankful that it's over and I have slightly less to worry about. Been sleeping at 2-3 over the past few days. Waking at 5, it sure has turned me into some ghost haha.
Some key happenings over the course of this week!
MONDAY
On Monday RIPB had a little exchange with the visitor students from wuhan china, and the students were attached to some prefects for duty shadowing and stuff!

On one of the days this week (gosh I can't remember which day exactly) I had one student observe me for announcement-making and it was a really rushed thing for I was just pushed to him and he started asking me questions in chinese and I was fumbling over my words and responding to him very horribly. Haha oh well my bad bad chinese. Plus there's prelims this coming tuesday, I think I'm going to have to drill a bit of chinese over the weekend to get things right.
Well haha it was fun. Oh Monday was horrible - me trying to get so many things done. After the RIPB presentation to the wuhan students after school, I rushed to the library to finish up on the BCG presentation set for wednesday - got back home when the library closed and stayed up until a crazy 2 plus to just finish it up. Well I didn't manage to. And I realized I simply had to sleep for my flu was owning me so I packed up and crept to the sink sleepily to prepare for bed...
And I coughed blood. Haha bleh
TUESDAY
Haha I rushed the BCG presentation on the way to school in the bus!
Tuesday's bio assignment went quite okay! Left me quite happy, and plus the fact that I couldn't do PE so I spent that one hour working on the BCG presentation. Haha sigh it drained me quite much; was working on the presentation all the way through on tuesday from after school till late at night where I started on my English Oral Defence presentation too! It left me in quite a daze.
WEDNESDAY
Spent the morning journey to school in the bus working on the Oral Defence presentation! Felt horribly nauseous when I stepped out of the bus but oh well it wore off haha :D
Ah wednesday the big day - I tried to pull through the morning's worth of lessons, well through a big struggle I eventually did, and spent the hour before our research presentation to get my points into my mind. Frantically, I succeeded!
And yeah I quote myself, "No other shoe can beat yours if yours is made just for you. Ladies and Gentlemen, and all Rafflesians, I'm Jonathan Lim and this is Tom Yet, Law Jia Hao, Tan Yan Liang and Koo Zheng Xuan, and we bring to you our business proposal, Sleekicks."

Haha classic. But we did very badly eventually, going overtime and leaving poor zheng xuan with the Q&A to handle. But we will prevail, and we will refine our presentations and get this business right. Sleekicks FTW!
Oh ya for the presentation, I had to dig up the converse sneaker which I designed 2 years ago for the Converse sneaker designing competition. Brings back so many memories :D Here it is! It just looks so young and memorable.

The rest of the day was spent rushing the Oral Defence presentation. And chriskwan and chrisfang decided to bully me in the library so I didn't do much -.- took long into the night to finish the presentation up, complete with a ten-minute prep and drawing up a script. Oh plus I started on my showcase portfolio!
THURSDAY
Woke up 2-3 hours later really really drained - worked on the portfolio on the way to school and surprisingly didn't get the motion sickness - I guess working on microsoft word makes me more comfortable then moving stuff around on powerpoint!
But yeah the day pulled through on its own. I think I was particularly lucky for physics practical. Firstly I didn't really study for it and I managed to do everything correctly (I think!) and secondly I ruined my graph paper a grand total of 2 times before actually doing the magnetic field thing correctly, and finished just a hair away from the bell. So that went fine :D
Then the main stress point of the day - Scribble, in defence of my achievements in my all-rounded development.

Eventually the 10-minute script I had wasn't used much - I carried on into the presentation on my own and lost myself within it, and I feel contented for being able to pull the defence off nicely. Well just doing the defence off-hand without the script points proved I could do it by understanding how I worked.
And yeah the oral defence did help me think, how I've grown throughout these four years. It brought about a certain level of nostalgia there but yeah I know that without these four years I wouldn't be anywhere this far. Plus I dug up lots of photos for my defence, and there are interesting ones!
LIKE THIS ONE HAHA. A photo of me giving a speech during our very own JRIC. My socks rock.

And this photo which the school took earlier this year for our open house corporate book! There was this post a few months ago where I took a photo of this photographer climbing up the library shelves to snap a photo of us from on top. Well here's the finished product, and it looks nice :D

On a whole it really helped me to sort things out. Haha and I was a happy boy, for I spent time during the RIPB board meeting folding paper stars for teachers day and I SMASHED PAUL'S FACE WITH CAKE. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL!
Prefects who have photos please send me!
Well since I successfully finished the showcase portfolio during the day :D:D:D I just got home, printed all of the pages out and did some designing and finished at 1-2plus, just in time to catch abit of shuteye for the final day of the week.
FRIDAY TODAY YAY
I admit that today, I am near defeated by fatigue haha. But no it's the end of the week yay! Today was the only day I got to sleep on the bus to school, and the only day this week I didn't have to bring my laptop to do crazy work!
The showcase portfolio turned out great - all encased within a red file, markered silver with the Scribble concept :D and I submitted it, letting all worries leave me.

The day was short and brief. Coach didn't let me run long distance today for training given that I was in a horrible state for the week hahah. Then I dozed off on the track and they said I could go home and rest -.-
So yay here I am, having completed this post and ready to sleep EARLY.
One last thing - this was the first face I saw when I stepped out of the bus on Monday this week! Ah king. King of three miles, tell me why your face ain't got a problem hahaha

Sleep is good. Coffee shouldn't be my best friend. Turning in!
TURNING IN by jonlim
My very own river of life, flowing, freshly full and fast; It diverges, splits, goes two ways then two again, till I see the many streams, each going somewhere great, but some die out - barren, thirsty, dry, desperate.
Coughing, crying for a new lease; these puddles of water yearn to flow - past the cynics, past the limits. It cries out for more strength, for more pride, for more breadth. Just that little bit of water, unheard.
What gives you this right to tear me down, burn a hole through me; What gives you this right to limit the very sky I want to reach; What gives you this right not to care less.
Do away with these high standards; whish them away, I don't need them if there lies no calibre to carry them through, they'd make you grey, sick and blue.
Yearning, so much.

I'm really tired. Finally this week is over and after I post this I shall go to sleep and enjoy a nice comfortable rest to recharge for the following week ahead!
Lessons passed really quickly for I was in a sleepy mood all the way through; even knocked out during PE (I was sitting at one side sneezing away for all that's worth) and fell asleep while the rest of the guys hopped up and down doing exercises due to the crazy downpour which hindered all other games.
Oh speaking of lessons - the progress reports have arrived, and sadly I've done myself a lot of injustice. I mean it. So the only logical thing to do is to work harder, shan't really rant and rave about all the disappointments because it's just not worth doing so! Yup I need to press on.
The last lesson of the day was english and we had oral defence - I loved guo wei's presentation haha GUO WEI why didn't you spam the classic part about 'striking fear and terror into the hearts of people'! But anyway guess who's the face behind the clown! (Other than the clown beside the clown face HAHA)

Then after school we had careers forum; really interesting insights. I dropped by on the aviation talk, then advertising, then biomedical research. Pilots have to be at least 1.65m tall! SO I'M ELIGIBLE HAHAHA.

After the forum ended I proceeded to train and ran fartlek with kamarul until it was about 7, then I just comfortably sat in the rj canteen to plan out the weekend's worth of to-dos. It's been a tiring and cold day, and I need rest, so off I go!
But before that, I'm wondering about so many things, and especially about track. It's been a while since I returned to the rj track to train and stuff, and yeah I'm worried about my place in the rj track team. Doesn't seem to be any free place for me, and considering how I placed all effort into 4 years of training and it has amounted to just mere incompetence.
I want to continue to run for Raffles, not just struggle within school and struggle with my own limits for no cause. But I can't find any other place I can belong to. Other than a possible place in council which I'm not really considering.

Is this for me?

Chemistry CCT was done early in the morning, and I'm undecided about how it will turn out in the end. But it felt great - it meant the end of this killer week 8 and all the horrors that go with it, and all the pain and stress. Not to mention for me, the end of the caffeine doses. I hereby pledge to be disciplined and avoid taking caffeine on purpose! It's for track's sake, and my health's sake.
The big part of the day was the 6th RI Lecture! On national issues, with guest-of-honour Mr George Yeo, minister for foreign affairs.

Haha I was emcee, and looking at the rostrum before the lecture was frightening enough; armed with a pro microphone not usually used at normal assemblies, and what's more, equipped with two media microphones.

Since I was backstage all the time I could only take photos from the side of the hall, hiding behind the curtains while everyone else listened away throughout the lecture hahaha. This was a brief moment of the dialogue session, from a backstage perspective :D

That pretty summed up the lecture, coupled with a rather nice (and hearty meal during the) reception. I returned to class shortly afterwards for chem and bio, and then school ended! AND IT WAS FUN TIME.
Firstly I went to the gym to do weights, for about 45 minutes or so, then went down to the field and ran about what must've been like 15 minutes at a comfortable pace, after which I joined the softballers in a short game of basketball! Ah it feels so good to have a little fun training in between :D Rested awhile at the library after that, then took a brief walk to bishan library, read up on bio, made a couple of smiles and went back home!
I shall be hopeful about what tomorrow will hold - hmm there's careers forum for sec fours and YES TRAINING finally I get to go for official training since a week ago!

The end of killer day three!
Math killed me, enough said. Was so horribly tired throughout the paper (not to mention during the english application question test the lesson before the math test as well to the point of not being aware of what I was writing) and I was quite devoid of focus. Left me in quite a mess.
Much of the day was spent worrying about JC life because of the fact that the CA marks were being passed around in class, and that we'd be getting our second progress report for the year this coming Friday. I looked for myself and saw a lot of disappointments; well these marks aren't going to secure me a good standing for my A levels and university choices.
So I thought about my chances and well yeah now's the time to make all the changes to my grades which I have to make. The EOYs loom ahead.
RE was spent watching other research groups do their presentations and honestly I was bored and wishing the groups would present better. Tom and I had our laptops propped next to each other and we browsed through hundreds and hundreds of photos reminiscing about the good old times. Haha but no, the niceness is short-lived - we've got to get our presentation together by next wednesday or we're toast.
HEH THEN AFTER SCHOOL THE FUNNIEST THING THIS WEEK HAPPENED TO ME. Paul and I went to rehearse for tomorrow's RI lecture and we were done by about 4.45 or so. Then we proceeded to take a breather by resting on the comfy VIP chairs.
And we fell asleep. HAHA BEST. I left the place at 5.30 for the track to talk to coach about training. And on the way there I bought a nice glass of coffee to perk myself up for the night.
I hope I can stay up. My flu's killing me.
And yes the night's slowly drawing over, and I'm thankful that I'm awake and more thankful that I took the coffee. Caffeine seems to be my best friend this week, no? It's kept me surviving for 3 days on end already, along with keeping myself awake with deep clear thoughts :D
And I proudly declare,

Press on, tomorrow's chemistry CCT and it's all over for this killer week!

I'm nearing the end of yet another killer day of this killer week. But all is fine!
I had a rather long gym workout plus a 5-round run around the field today for a little exercise - well rather ridiculous to some people for the fact that math CCT is just a few hours away and chem CCT the next following morning, but yeah I felt horribly uneasy and my insides were squirmish, having not trained for what must've been like 6 days from national day onwards.
Gosh that's like a week, now I realize. I wanted to do like ten rounds to easen off the remorse for being unable to train but amidst the ambition I started off at a pace too fast so in the end I stopped, and listened in to the track exco 2008 meeting. Interesting verdicts and plans, really :D next year will be great for ri track!
After a washup I then proceeded on math. 2 long hours in the library drilling away but I don't think I completed much. Sadly sadly the prospect of the tests seem gloomy. But oh well, it will end!
Sometimes we cannot help but be escapists and huddle away in our little bubbles of dreams and well-wishes. Especially in the midsts of all this academic pressure. But we will conquer in the end, we just have to break free after a while.
And I must say -
Last year I could work till 2 in the morning and wake up and 5, and keep it going for a week.
But now it's only 11.45pm and I'm drifting in and out of consciousness.
I think I'm getting old haha. Not as youthful as I used to be. I feel like an old grandpa who has backache (why incidentally yes!) and can't move around properly (haha coincidentally the injured foot). K random I'm over and out.

Today turned out to be a really sleepy day as I struggled to grasp all the details in lessons and making full use of every single moment I had awake, but yeah I more or less survived :D
Bio CCT turned out way finer than I expected it would be! I guess I did prepare enough (albeit could've done a little more to fill up all the doubts) but I cruised through smoothly, so that's one test down and 2 more to go for this week!
Then the main highlight of the afternoon: RI vs HCI soccer match!

I spent most of the first half of the game waiting for the guest-of-honour and stuff so I didn't catch much at all. But I know during that time Gareth scored a fantastic goal! And the match went on and on the the supporters were tireless; amidst Seetow's splendidly candid commentaries and antics. Soccer's what brings everyone together, I guess!

The second half slowly proceeded and hci scored an equalizer. In the end the result turned out just like last year - ri and hci drew 1-1 (last year we drew 0-0) but this time RAFFLES WON ON PENALTIES!
So that's another day of victory for Raffles yay.
Plus today I finally obtained Walter's EP; I've gotten the songs a few months ago but now the actual EP is out which featured my works :D and to think it turns out much nicer than when shown on computer! This is the front cover!

And the insides, which feature his personal notes, the cd and the background design. Yay the designing process was long and arduous but thankfully I had last year's Decemeber holidays to work on it, so they turned out pretty fine!

Plus the lyricsheet which turned out pretty okay as well! Just that I think maybe I put the lyrics too small.

Yay tiring day. Now I shall start on a bit of math, a bit of chem, a bit of business plan, a bit of everything, a bit of drain and of the hope. Got to press on!

Been -trying- crazily hard to study and revise for the CCTs next week, as well as desperately clear up all the projects before they're due (next week too). I realize I need a lot of motivation and more discipline, plus a bit of faith in what I'm doing, and I'll just be fine and pull through the onslaught of academia in this upcoming week 8.
Well there's math, chem and bio tests next week; I'll have to put more into math, I have to START on chem, I have to finish up my bio revision (been trying to drill economic botany and I hope I just get it right). But the happy thing is that I'VE FINISHED SS DOCUMENTARY :D It was super hard to get public interviews and in the end we just crashed through and depended more on acquaintance than persuasion.
One final day left tomorrow before the week starts; I will try for a morning run, then rush bio before finishing up my math prep and not forgetting the performance task sigh. So much work so much work, but it will all end soon!
And I'm looking forward to this coming saturday; probably going to watch the post-natday fireworks and enjoy a day of relaxation after this awful week. Pull through! I'll have to find a way to strengthen myself though. Lots and lots of motivation, patience and faith.

Here's an interesting thing: I had the chance to toy with a 5x5 rubiks cube and it just sapped all the energy out of my mind. Eventually well with the help of tzekang and jiahao the two cube pros, the cube was almost solved with just an irritating piece left, which they forgot how to solve too. But oh well I can't even do a 3x3 cube properly, so this is a nice thing to see :D

TODAY was another really nice and happy day, starting with national day celebs! Ah it was fun yet tense being emcee for the event, with major long hanging moments in between for the musical groups to fill into the hall and stuff like that. The conversation with Mr Joe Conceicao our guest speaker turned out to be more of a message to the student audience, which turned out great eventually :D
And yah I got insulted onstage pls. Mr Conceicao: "When you see a pregnant lady on a train, will you give up your seat?" Me: (nods head) "Mm." Mr Conceicao: (didn't see my reaction) "Ah he's not sure, never mind." (Whole hall laughs)
Best. Haha but oh well it was okay and it went well :D Plus the chinese opera guys, really fabulous haha jason pang's face is classic!

Yay. Then after a less-gruelling-than-expected english lesson, we were free!

Spent quite a while drawing the random roof structure at The Cathay. It was fun noting all the small details and funny road structures; in the end I omitted the trees and made it an urban jungle, but it was fun enough :D
Then I went on to catch Jay Chou's new movie, Secret. It was really good, despite the dismal ratings in the papers! Haha I really love how they play the piano, well mainly due to the fact that I'm horribly musically disabled but yes it was really impressive. And the whole storyline wasn't just any same old fairytale romance, but twisted and perhaps even eerie! I liked the ending for its abruptness, yet disliked it also for its abruptness. Hahah.
After the movie I wandered back to plaza sing before making for Raffles Place (again :D) Walked around the usual spots and when it was time, I left reluctantly for home, albeit exhausted. Bought coffee from 7eleven on the way back, but the caffeine didn't work, and I took the wrong train - NorthSouth line, and didn't realize my mistake until I reached Somerset haha -.- so I got back to city hall and later joined my family at genki sushi for a nice hearty dinner.
What a day what a day :D

Ownage workload's owning us all but we'll prevail! Been working nonstop on projects and homework, well not exactly fast because I've spent an entire afternoon in anguish over math and finally got it done, phew.
I'm just hacking away at all the rest of the work now; The past week's been a nice one, and I'm certain this one's gonna be great too :D
Now, another Corrinne May new album song, I can't get enough of this!
ON THE SIDE OF ME by Corrinne May
I'm not the easiest person to love I'm often the one who lets things go unresolved
Yet you choose to be on the side of me, on the side of me. Yeah you choose to be, on the side of me, on the side of me.
I'm not too proud of some things I've done in my life The skeletons in my closet are too big for me to hide
Yet to choose to be on the side of me, on the side of me. Blessed charity; you're on the side of me, on the side of me.
Everyone needs a friend to hold when it's cold outside and there's no place to go. Everyone needs a friend to hold all alone I cried there was no place to go I remembered when nobody cared, but you.
I'm not the easiest person to love But you, you've opened your heart to show me what I'm worth
'Cause you choose to be on the side of me, on the side of me. What a mystery You're on the side of me, on the side of me.
Everyone needs a friend to hold when it's cold outside and there's no place to go. Everyone needs a friend to hold all alone I cried there was no place to go
I remembered when nobody cared, I remembered when nobody cared, nobody cared, but you.
Yeah you choose to be, on the side of me, on the side of me.

CORRINNE MAY CONCERT - BEAUTIFUL SEED - 030807
Well this is really the best of yesterday - Corrinne May's concert, Beautiful Seed, at the NUS UCC Hall.
The concert featured mostly songs from her new-and-upcoming album, Beautiful Seed, and they're really really nice :D I've heard some of the songs while she was working on them, back in the previous 2 concerts, the valentines day one and the christmas one! This new album takes a look more into the happenings of a day-to-day life, and of love and friendship.
Well I couldn't take any photos because silly me ran into the wrong queue line after the concert and in the end had to line up waaaay behind in the autograph queue. Then it got too late and I simply had to go home ): But no, an autograph was gotten in the end :D:D
Plus there was a pre-release of the album last night, so HURRAY I have the latest Corrinne May album before anyone else! Ahh I was really happy and serenaded, and dreamy. And here's the album plus the concert postcards!

Here's the lyrics of one song in the album which I find to be really meaningful. It talks about being there for a friend, and I guess this is something we all really need to do, and I know I will do it!
SHELTER by Corrinne May
What's wrong, what's getting you down Is it something I might have said? You're walking around, with your head to the ground and your eyes are watery red
I know you've been through tough times Kicked around, thrown to the ground but you've always been the strong one. So don't tell me that nobody gets you 'cause I'm standing in your corner Knocking at your door, You don't have to be alone
Just call my name Let me be an answer 'cause it hurts me to see you this way I wanna ease your pain Help me understand Let me be your shelter, my friend
We share a bond, You and I we belong We're like coffee and morning trains Strip my defences, I catch your pretences The same blood runs through our veins
I swore I'd be your lifeline Make a vow that I'd surround you with love at every milestone I'll listen when nobody gets you I'm still standing in your corner Waiting by your door, you don't have to be alone
Just call my name Let me be an answer 'cause it hurts me to see you this way I wanna ease your pain Help me understand Let me be your shelter, my friend
It was not too long ago You sought to understand You helped to mend, remember when So promise me you'll
Call my name Let me be an answer 'cause it hurts me to see you this way I wanna ease your pain Help me understand Let me be your shelter, my friend.
And things are, all the more fine :D (the post below's whatever happened earlier in the day!)

Yesterday was a blast of a day :D
Double excitement: Inter-house cross country, and Corrinne May's concert at the NUS UCC Hall! Well lessons were stoned yesterday; we all got dumped with loads of work to do over the weekend, including the national day holidays (not to mention three major CCTs the week following those holidays) so yeah we're all gonna be kept busy.
Well here's an interesting but very shockingly awful thing: Well the PTM forms. Usually when teachers want to see the parents of whichever student, a pink form will be given to the student to inform his parents of the parent-teacher meeting session. If no teacher wants to see the parents of a particular student then that lucky guy would be given a green form, and all will be well!
Well I'm proud to say that for the past 3.5 years I've never gotten a pink form.
In class I sit with ruiyong, and we put our forms together. Guess which is whose PTM form!
Well I'm not being a horrible arrogant brat, because... LOOK AGAIN!

HAHA gosh I got a shock from getting that form. But then again it wasn't really much of a shock afterwards, because I noticed that almost everyone else had a pink form - Mrs Yau our chemistry teacher wanted to see the parents of almost all of us.
As for ruiyong I don't know why he wasn't included, quote him: "she probably gave up on me" hahaha. And he proceed to emphasise on his green form bearing the sentence "your son has shown good attitude and consistency in his work". Haha! The funniness of it all.
I don't think I have been awful in chemistry, albeit a slight drop in my work quality due to the track nationals. But I'll solve that, and by the EOYs it will all be okay!
During PE we were doing sports climbing, and while ruiyong, chriskwan and i were too apprehensive about the cross country run to try to climb that high, the others all climbed really well today! And jiahao was smiling away and going high at the top of the (possibly) hardest wall :D

That was schooltime for friday. Then after a hasty lunch, and sleepy bus trip we arrived at Bedok reservoir! It was quite bad because 4K was the last to reach the reservoir, and ruiyong chriskwan and i had to warm up in 15 mins - after a 10 min run we had to stretch in 5 mins and then we were off -.-
But it went well! Surprisingly I could keep up with the pack for the first and second quarter of the 4.2km and I was like 5th behind ruiyong tingzhang adriel and chriskwan. Then later I lost it and loads others overtook me. It was a horribly blazingly hot day and towards the last stretch I couldn't feel my legs + my lunch was feeling squirmy inside me zz.
But I finished 13th. Not too bad, considering I finished near 20-something for the past 2 times I ran interhouse cross, in sec1 and 3! :D Yay much much improvement.
Then I stayed on with the guest-of-honour Dr Lim for the rest of the meet. Haha he's really good, ORA honourary secretary and specialist in anaesthetics. He shared with paul and me of possible education paths for our specific career paths and stuff. Really experienced person. Haha I was amazed when paul asked him about medicine and finance and he gave paul all that he knew. And the hours passed fast!
Then we flagged the last race of the day (and the last race of my life in RI), the U15 race.

Soon the whole meet ended, and here I am, rushing back home for a quick dinner and shower, in 13th position :D

I think the trophy, no matter how small, acts as a reminder for me to keep strong; I love running long distances for the fact that after I've passed a certain physical limit, my mind forces itself into thoughts of negativity, forcing the body to stop, letting one's other priorities take over - and this is where we must have the strength to carry on no matter what. I felt like stopping to walk, stopping to gain my breath; I felt like I wanted to give way and just rest for whatever's worth, but it was my very last race, and I wanted to hit the top ten no matter how weak I was.
The fatigue, the endurance, the mental strength against the negativity - no matter how I sick I felt during each and every one of those runs, I enjoy them. I truly live to run, no matter where I stand.
Now last night was the best part of the entire day - and I shall reserve a separate post for it! (the post's above this one!)
> Link this post
Didn't have time to post a few days back and finally I've some time to do so!
Tuesday was a really spectacular day; paul and i were invited by mr tan yong soon the permanent secretary for the ministry of environment and water resources to attend a discussion of his book at north view primary!

It was very interesting; it was the first time i wasn't ushering and look after guest-of-honours, but was actually like one! Then I got ushered around and taken care of, and given drinks and was the first to leave for the reception and stuff, super cool haha! Plus the real cool thing of the day: while the students lined up to get mr tan to autograph their books, some actually came to us to have their books autographed by us!
Here's one such book (of Melvin's), pity it's blurred. This rocks :D

I also had TOKENS OF APPRECIATION HAHA. A nice stationery holder plus a photo collage of the sharing session!

That was tuesday. Yesterday was yet another packed day with rushed RE and lots of pressing lessons, but things went rather well. Training resumed yesterday too :D and the main highlight was the really nice 20 min run around the RI-RJC boundary and I covered about 2 rounds! Then we had intense strength training and that was about it.
TOMORROW IS INTER-HOUSE CROSS COUNTRY. I'm gonna try for top ten and run my best. And bayleyeans must all run! Because every single guy gets at least 2 points if you run 4.2km under 25 mins :D If everyone runs we own!
And for marcus, jiahao and me, we're truly under the (young) banyan tree. For memories!

Been filled with happy dreamy memories all day, can't wait for tomorrow, the day of double excitement - interhouse cross, and then corrinne may's concert :D
