At Years End

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We were able to go over to Spokane to be with Eric's family for the weekend. Unfortunately Eric got the flu, so Christmas day was not very enjoyable for him.
This is the first time all four siblings had been together since 2007! It was so great to visit with everyone and have all 7 grandchildren get to know each other!
Lilli's favorite gift was a Snow White bike, she hasn't taken the helmet off in several days! She has been riding circles around in the garage, since it hasn't stopped raining since we got back home.
Carmi was VERY excited to get some Maisy books (Maisy is a little mouse, she has a show on Qubo channel, Carmi LOVES her!) she has been keeping the books under her pillow at night!...and Jared, well he's pretty much just a happy little guy that wants to eat! he has been getting a lot more mobile, and is getting really good at sitting up!

 I tried a new pumpkin pie recipe with my own fresh pumpkin puree, it was SO good, and I'm the only one that really liked it so I've been having it for breakfast!

A Visit to Roosevelt

When I found out several months ago that my sister Amanda was planning a visit to my parents I decided I wanted to come as well. Eric didn't have time off to I braved the airport with the kids. We arrived at the airport around 6 am in the 14th, which I assumed would be in plenty of time to get through security and get to our gate before it left at 7:15. Well unfortunately between the time I checked in and the time I arrived at the gate the flight time changed and they left ten minutes early. We got on standby and were able to get the next flight, for which I was grateful. We met a lot of nice people that thought the girls were adorable and helped entertain them.

Unfortunately Lilli, Carmi and I were all hit with some sort of bug. Carmi and I on Sunday, then Lilli on Monday.

The girls went on several walks with Uncle Paul and Glenn, with various other people. By the end of our visit Carmen wouldn't stop saying "Uncle Paul, Uncle Paul!"

Jared got the vacuum cord and played until he was completely exhausted!

It's always great to spend time with family, but I do hope this is the only time I take the children to the airport by myself!

Something About Aunts...

We were able to steal my sister Jeanne away for a visit before sending her on to Utah. We had a great time, the girls loved having company and we also enjoyed meeting some people from Jeanne's mission.
The girls almost forgot about Mommie, they only wanted Aunt Jeanne. They followed her everywhere and she could barely even escape to bathroom by herself. She slept in the girls room, so Lilli got up every morning and made all three beds, it was pretty cute.

How about some silly string?

There were globs of it everywhere!

During the midst of all the silly string and glitter spray Jared was seen showing off those chubby legs.

We drove out to Rochester and visited with the family who Jeanne lived behind.

Rochester is a nice looking farm area that reminds me a lot of Roosevelt!
We also went and met several families in Puyallup. Which is only about 15 minutes away from us so I didn't think to get pictures...
Thanks for staying with us Aunt Jeanne! We're looking forward to lots of "Auntie" visits as time goes by.

Today We Went on a Drive...

...to the Seattle Temple.

Yay!!! She's not home quite yet, we are excited to spend the next few days with her and then send her to Utah on Saturday!

Thanksgiving...and other Cuteness

We headed for Spokane Thursday morning.

Snoqualmie Pass was gorgeous (and I have to admit, even more beautiful since it's two hours away!!!)

As long as this isn't in my backyard I love it!

We saw a few interesting things in Spokane, some so small we nearly missed them...

Like the "Occupy Spokane" camp! It was so small I snapped about 5 pictures as we were driving by and this was all I got! I think there were about 5 tents up.

Oh and it wasn't even in downtown! More like North Spokane.

Yeah that's me, death warmed over...haha That's how I look at around 8 in the morning when Jared has gotten up two or three times during the night.

It was nice to spend a few days with Eric's family.  We didn't get a lot of pictures because our camera needs a new battery and only takes about 8 pictures at a time before it dies and I forgot the charger... I'll post more as I get them from other people who took pictures for us!

Jared is an interesting little guy. He doesn't have a lot of interest in rolling, he's rolled over only about 3 times. But he is starting to do a scoot/army crawl sort of thing.

It's so fun to watch the kids together!
