A Boy and Three Girls

Yep. Baby number 4 is a girl! I am of course tickled pink! It does make things interesting/challenging for housing arrangements, it would have been so easy to have two boys and two girls each sharing a room...it will be an adventure for sure. And Jared will have the next 17 or so years to learn all about girls!

Leaves Are Falling All Around

It was a huge relief to get the leaves all raked up in the backyard!  We raked everything into the back part of the yard, then when we got everything in one place the girls pitched in and helped haul leaves to the compost heap.Of course over the process that took several days a lot of playing went on as well!

The Pumpkin Patch and Halloween (Sorta)

 Lilli had been asking to go to a pumpkin patch for several weeks so we decided to make the trip. It was the last day they were opened so there weren't tons of people, plus the weather was perfect, much warmerthen you would expect for October 29th but chilly enough to fit the experience!

We took a train ride.

 Totally random for a pumpkin patch, but they had a sand pit where you could dig for all sorts of interesting things. Jared LOVED digging around in the sand and playing in it.

 We took a wagon ride out to the fields to pick out pumpkins.

I had all sorts of ideas, but then Eric ended up working. I only had a costume done for Lilli, so we didn't go trick or treating, just turned on The Curse of the Were-Rabbit and handed candy out to everyone that came by. Of course the kids all had plenty for themselves! Lilli actually complained of a stomachache toward the end of the night so I was glad we hadn't gone out and gathered out lbs of the stuff. I promised Lilli we would go next year, or maybe Eric's schedule will allow us to go to the ward trunk or treat! Lilli felt pretty sad when she saw all the kids out in their costumes.
