Eric's Birthday and Stuffs

 Not the best quality I know, but to cute not to share! Lilli had a great time building her castle!

 Eric brought home a rose one day, all the kids wanted a picture with it!

 

Nadia is ready for school! After seeing siblings go the past few years Nadia packs around anything that slightly resembles a backpack. I think this one had her baby and a blanket in it.

 

 

 

Eric's birthday was the day after Carmi's. We made a cloud cake (recipe from Martha Stewart with just a few changes). It turned out awesome!

Carmi is 6!

As you can tell by her face she loves her birthday as much as ever! She still talks about it all year long. One day about two weeks before her birthday we were in the car and she had asked more then once "is my birthday coming soon?" Finally Eric just told her she would know it was coming when Mom took her shopping for ice cream.
A little about Carmi:
She still loves giraffes, butterflies and My Little Pony. But recently Monster High has been added to her likes. Her favorite character is Draculaura.
She loves school. She's especially good at math.
She loves lasagna and pizza and mashed potatoes.
She is super sweet and loving. She hugs me all the time.
She loves to sing
And like any girl she loves pink and purple!

Of course strawberries had to be involved. She has a triple layer fresh strawberry cake. It was delicious.

These two have the cutest relationship!

We sure love our Carmi. In the past year she started using the term "sweet love" all the time. In fact I am officially her sweet, sweet love.

All About the Eyes

 The kids had a ton of fun with pipe cleaners one day. Lilli had them all come to the "eye doctor" and made them each a pair of glasses. 

 Of course a post on eyes has to include the ever awesome cucumber eyes!

 

Road Kill

Well they were supposed to have disgusted faces. But Lilli was the only had that had success!  A squirrel got hit by a car in front of our house and one day a group of vultures made their way over for a snack. I laughed so hard when I heard the exclamations of "gross, ew, ew" from Jared and Nadia's room.

This one is my favorite!

This sounds terrible, but Carmen actually gets a real kick out of stuff  kinda gross and  bloody...*snicker*

Out On the Town

One of our local grocery stores had a "Cherry Festival." So we went and had cherry brats and Cherry 7-Up. Then Lilli, Carmi and Jared got their faces painted. That was a huge hit! All the kids got a balloon animal. Lilli got turtles, Carmi got a giraffe, Jared got a bear, and Nadia got a flower. (The giraffe didn't make it to picture time, and the flower was about half popped.)

Lilli with her turtles. They lasted the longest. I actually stumbled over them one day when I was looking for something in her room just a few weeks ago. They were still intact, but had all lost their air. It was pretty awesome.

Jared decided to be completely random and have a pickle painted on his face!
