Festival of Trees

For playgroup today, we went to the Festival of Trees. We had a great time looking at the trees and doing the fun crafts.

Happy 33rd Birthday, Kris!

Last night we had a birthday party for Kris and Dad. Mom made a yummy roast and cake and the boys entertained us!

Tuesdays

Just a quick something.
On Tuesdays, my mom picks Cannon up from school and watches him until Ryan gets there (While I teach at the community college).
Cannon Knows:
-Tuesdays he will be at Grandma and Grandpas.
-Grandparents are suckers and have money to spend.
-He just has to ask.
When we go somewhere and Cannon asks for something and we say no, he says, "That's OK, I'll just wait until Tuesday."
If he really wants something, he calls Grandpa in advance to prep him for Tuesday.
We really save a lot of money.
We will probably have to take care of my parents because their retirement will be in Cannon's toy box.
Are your kids this smart? Genius, I tell ya!

Thanksgiving Holiday

Happy Thanksgiving!
On Wednesday, Cannon's class had a Pancake and Pajama Party. I always love to help in his class.

For Thanksgiving, we went to Little America. They always have the best food. Instead of turkey, Cannon had four plates of crab legs. He was is in heaven. I meant to take more pictures, but forgot. The dinner party included: Mom, Dad, Grandma, her husband, Aunt Peggy, cousins Moriah and Bethany, Kris, Tanner and us.

Friday, Tanner came over and we decorated for Christmas. We don't have room for a tree, so this railing garland has been my solution.

After the decorating, the boys played with floam.

Saturday Cannon and I helped clean the church. Then he played outside from 10-5:30! We are rarely home for that long on the weekend.

While he played, I went visit teaching and then to see August Rush. That was the best movie! You must see it. I was able to have free time because Ryan was actually home and he needed to change his brakes. Last night Ryan went to a concert (Tool?) and sleep-over with his friends. So, Cannon and I went to dinner and window shopping. Which really meant PJ's for Cannon and a blessing outfit for Fisher!

The best part about this Holiday weekend is We still have two more days off!

20 Weeks

Me at 20 weeks. I was feeling pretty good about myself until I took off my sweater for this picture and Cannon said, "Look how big your arms are from your belly!" Thanks a lot! He sure knows how to make his momma feel good!

I just got up for a minute while the picture was loading and passed Cannon's room. Ryan is reading him bedtime stories- under the covers with a headlamp.

Gone Fishing

Well- sorry to make you wait all day- I do work TWO jobs on Tuesdays!

We will welcome Fisher Campbell to the world sometime in the spring!

Just kidding. Have to wait until Tuesday to find out. But, here is why I both want and don't want a girl. She'd send us to the poor house $50 at a time. I must not even open the Pottery Barn Catalogue!

Christmas List begins

Cannon is DYING for this Bumblebee. He has a picture of it he stares at and he looks it up on the internet all the time. What he doesn't know is that Ryan bought it for him a month ago.

Here are Cannon's plans to get it sooner:

Plan A: Have us buy it for his friend Kevin for a gift, but then keep it for himself.

Plan B: Have us buy it in front of him so he knows he is getting it. Then, I am to store it in my trunk until Christmas. But, he is going to get my keys and go get it sooner.

Plan C: The most intricate. He is going to get up early, before us, and look it up on eToys. Then, he is going to find our credit card and order it himself. Then, when the box comes, we'll say, "What is this big box?" and he'll say, "YES!" and take it and open it.

. . .and if all else fails:

Plan D: Call Grandpa- probably the best, if we hadn't already bought it. This is usually a fool-proof option.

What he doesn't know: how to get to eToys without us, how to find the add to cart option, how to read to fill out any information. So, I think we are safe for a while!

I did promise him he could order it January 1st if he doesn't get it for Christmas.

Star of the week

Cannon was Star of the Week this week. He was line leader and teacher helper, etc. On Fridays, the parents come in to talk about what they do. I kept my part short and let Ryan do the talking. He loved it and I had to tell him to hurry along and wrap it up! If you know Ryan, you know that is uncharacteristic of him! Who knew? The kids loved hearing about all of his tools and Cannon was so proud. He had a great week feeling special. Here are pictures of the poster and our visit.

For Natalie

Natalie once commented on colors of paint for house interiors. She was painting hers at the time. Heather documented her painting, too. So, I finally got around to taking pictures of my painted house. Obviously, my inspiration wasn't Pottery Barn. It was a Frank Lloyd Wright window. But, he would cringe at the rest of my house.

I have a small house and I am tidy and organized, but we are major consumers and own way too much crap for our place. I don't like to clean and will choose anything over that task. I tried to get pictures of the cuteness and colors without showing the embarrassing mess- but due to the small space and overload of junk- I figured I would just bare it all. Don't worry, if you came over for a scheduled visit- I would really clean up.

The front room. Notice the lovely TV area? I do like the picture of the stairs. That is what you see as you come in the front door. It shows all the colors at once!

Up the stairs. Aren't they cool? Ryan was nice enough to paint the stripes. I couldn't pick a color for our room and after the stripes- Ryan was done with me making him paint. Cannon's room. Umm- lots of books! Can't help myself. I try to clean off the top of the shelves, but he likes them messy and he reminds me it is his room.

And, last but not least, the Baby's room! What, you don't like it? Actually it is Ryan's room and I don't even bother with it. It actually looks pretty clean here! If we don't move, it will have to be for baby! Yikes!

Cannon ponders Sunday

" I wish everyone in the world already knew everything about Jesus. " Ahhh, how sweet. "So, then I wouldn't ever have to go to church again." What? "That's ok. When I am a Dad, I can just stay home, like Dad." See Ryan, I told you so!!!!

Happy Halloween

Cannon has been wearing his costume for over a month and Halloween was crazy- so I forgot to take a picture of him.

At work we had a great time trick-or-treating in the classrooms and at the party. I can't post pictures, because it isn't ethical. Wish I could, the kids were so cute.

At Cannon's class the party and parade were fun. Here are some shots of the crafts the other moms prepared. Then a class photo.

Trunk or Treat was great. I was way too busy to take pictures. I bought the exact right amount of food! Thanks, Amy for all your help. Step on my toes anytime!

I was so exhausted by the end of the day, I had to have Ryan go with Kris and Tanner to trick or treat door to door! My feet still hurt today!

All the planning for all three events was worth it. It was a great day. And yet, I am so glad it is over :) Sorry there aren't any pictures of me as a witch and it is not by accident!

I love Vacations!

We had our annual fantastic trip to Disneyland. Thank you Walt for your imagination! Even though I wasn't able to ride much, I still had a great time in the Happiest Place on Earth! Cannon hardly rode any kiddie rides, since he is 5 now! He didn't even want to go into Bug's Life land. He loved ThunderMountain again. My dad took him on the river ride(can't think of name) and they got soaked-so they rode it again! So glad I couldn't ride that!

Cannon loves to buy toys. He spent his money on three Star Wars transformers. Chip and Dale wanted to play his toy, too.

For those who don't know- next time you go you have to see Billy Hill and the Hillbillys. We always see it at least twice. Seriously so hilarious.
We lucked out and got on to Nemo in about 45 minutes! Pretty cute ride.

The last minute excitement: For our last ride, I wanted to ride Storybook Land in Fantasyland. I love it, even though the line is always really long and it is kind of lame. So, I made everyone ride to make up for not being able to ride the fun stuff. As Cannon was entering the boat, it shifted away from the landing and Cannon fell into the water. The workers were so freaked out! Cannon was crying and they called their special nurse. Cannon started yelling, "I'm ok, I'm ok. Don't take me away." I checked him out and he was fine, just embarrassed. So, we rode the ride. As we exited a worker asked if we were ok, and what could they do for us. So, they got us to the front of Peter Pan and Matterhorn and a fast pass to Space Mountain. Too bad we were about to drive home, because they wanted to do more for us! Wonder what they do if you really get hurt? Gotta love it!
