Bear Lake 2011: First Visit

We skipped school Friday and headed up to Bear Lake with my parents to spend the long President's weekend. Cannon said the first trip up is so exciting. The weather was really nice, in the 40s. We drove around to Garden City one afternoon for lunch at Cafe Sabor. We played games, read, relaxed, and played in the snow.

The winter sandbox.

Fisher was so excited to play with icicles.

Isn't ice cool?

There was a small herd of deer with two babies hanging around. I took this picture through the kitchen window. It was really fascinating to watch them. I can't see how people can hunt.

I dare you to throw that snowball at me!

Sledding

Cannon tried to sled the neighbors hill. In the summer it is weeds, bushes and rocks. Practically a drop off. First attempt, not so good.

Success.
Sadly, I missed capturing the crash and roll after Fisher's run.
Sledding the neighbors super steep driveway. Not so good in the summer when their four wheelers sometimes tip over trying to drive up it. Perfect for sledding, though.

Mmm, snow.

What are they looking at?

Watching Grandma crash into the mud.

Fishies turn

Happy as can be.

Snow Cave

Ryan took the boys out twice to work on a snow cave. They had so much fun building it. Ryan did all the work, Cannon goofed off and watched and Fisher tried to dig through everything Ryan did!

Happy Valentine's Day

Cannon's Valentine. He drew it and then I copied it. It was a fun, simple way to celebrate.

Red hearts make any picture into a Valentine Box.

Of course.

Fisher with his Valentine box he made at school. The orange blob is Model Magic. That is what I gave the boys along with their candy.

Flowers from Ryan and Cannon. Cannon noticed that they all got presents from me, but no one gave me anything. He had my dad buy me the Mum's while they were buying flowers for my great grandma. He was so excited to give it to me.

Piano picture, just because.
