Back to School

Sadly the day had come when I had to go back to work. Boo hoo hoo. That evening after days of smoke filled skies I captured this amazing red moon with zebra striped clouds passing through it. Cool huh?

Fisher's first day was Monday and Cannon's was Wednesday. Cannon was pretty exited to see his friends and maybe his teacher. She seemed really nice at Back to School Night.

Fisher is working on "homework" so Cannon could do his in peace!
We have survived the first week and might be in the swing of things in time for a Labor Day break!

Bear Lake: Ryan's Family

Wednesday, August 1, Bette arrived! The boys were so excited to have some come. She drove us around to Garden City for a shake and the park.
Thursday morning Stephanie arrived with Kylie, Sadie, Brock and Jackson. We went to the beach to play. While we were there Robb, Mary, Ethan and Bodie arrived from Washington.  After some more playing Grandma did her annual Fishing Pond.
Who knew Cannon wanted a jump rope?

Friday morning Grandma got out the crafts...which ended up need LOTS of help from the moms.
 Trish, Jeff and Jayden arrived.
Soccer?

I don't think the goalie is supposed to sit with his shirt over his head!
In the evening Ryan and Brian arrived after work.
The big kids are doing a Scavenger Hunt while the littles are doing a Treasure Hunt.
Trish and Jeff brought their boat. The kids loved the tubes. We had so much fun.

Bear Lake: Alone

All the visitors went home on the 24th.
My mom was finally heading home after 5 weeks at the cabin. She drove us over to Montpelier to grocery shop. We stopped at Kings so the boys could get a toy. They chose this Hot Wheels track.

Friday Mom got up an left. We went to the beach, of course!

Friday night (and every night after) I watched the Olympics. The poor boys had to fend for themselves for four hours every night. Fisher wanted to know why we were there alone. He was so homesick.
Cannon would pull an anchor out to the dock and back every day for his workout.
We had lunch outside and the bees were driving us crazy. Cannon always covers his drinks because the bees climb in. Fisher wanted to be a part of it, too.

Fisher pretending he won a medal. I'm not sure why he has drinks balanced all over the four-wheeler.

Bear Lake: July 24th Weekend

On the 20th my Grandma drove me, the boys and Tanner to Bear Lake where my mom was. Peggy, Paul, Moriah and her friend Kayzia came, too. Grandma was a crazy driver and I really worried we might not make it! We did puzzles and played at the beach. Saturday my dad came up and then Sunday Ryan came up. Sunday morning I went to church with Mom and Grandma. The St. Charles ward is great. The spirit is so strong there.
Cannon came and found me to show me Ryan enjoying his vacation.

A few hours later he was still enjoying it.

The kids enjoying glow bubbles Grandpa bought for them.

There was glow solution everywhere. Pretty cool.
The boys had so much fun playing with Moriah and Kayzia who are 15. The girls were so nice to them. One evening 9 of my mom's students stopped by to visit. They were all darling boys. Moriah and Kayzia were hilarious. They talked and talked about how cute the boys were all night.

BINGO! We took invites around the subdivision and 30 kids came to play.

My dad just loves to drive this old beast around.
We watched the Days of '47 Parade the morning of the 24th and then hung around the cabin because it was overcast.

Zeke is the best dog. He has such personality. We laughed until we cried watching him try to sit like a person.
