Nice Long Weekend

Cannon is always wanting to make a science project. Usually that means he dumps weird things in water to see if they dissolve. I told him to look through one of his science books and find a recipe. He found Gak. I love this stuff. It is just cornstarch and water. The mixture is a liquid and a solid.


Fisher entertaining himself with a balloon until the Gak is ready. No, he doesn't lie to wear pants.

I always have trouble with my cinnamon rolls. This new recipe turned out great...other than Ryan insisted I needed a bigger pan (I did) but I was just following the recipe. It looked great until...we took our first gooey uncooked bite. Turns out only the top half baked enough due to too small pan. Back into the pan upside down to finish. They were delicious. Now that I know all the problems, next time they will be fabulous.

There was a Transformer battle on the couch.

I know there are a lot of Josh, but it was a sort of goodbye as he went to bootcamp January 2nd. He is now Airman Josh!

Cannon earned his Wolf. He is really excited. We are very proud of his hard work. He has six months to earn as many arrow s as he can!

Forgotten Christmas

Wow, what is my problem? I really thought I took pictures over Christmas break. I couldn't find any of Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Turns out Ryan was, but he was taking video which films to a tape!

Cannon and Fisher enjoying the Wii. Fisher could only play the sword game. So, he gave up after a few days and just watched Transformers.

I meant to get pictures of the boys enjoying their new toys, but I didn't. What did I do for two weeks? Baked, hung out, baked again, cleaned, and what else? Anyway, back to the toys. Fisher got Ariel, Ironman, Gator Golf and his favorite, Silly Six Pins. Cannon got Iron Monger, Legos, Flexeez, and another building thing.

The break was great. Cannon slept over at my parents. Fish was excited to get a turn, too. We went swimming. We wanted to go sledding but it was either not snowy enough or not warm enough. Ryan and I saw Inception, which was really cool, and Tron, which was um, good? I have to admit that relaxing and hanging out was the best part of the break.
