Some Pre-Summer Fun 6-19-07

The kids got a little pool for this summer to be able to cool off. We used it for the first time today, and it was a hit. William, Emma and I went in to just have some fun. It was nice.

Here is William just showing off his little pool toy.
Emma fell in love with this swimsuit because it has a little skirt for when she comes out of the water. She wanted a picture of it.
The kids spent about an hour just splashing around. They didn't even seem to mind how shallow the pool was. They just liked being able to play in water outside.

We went outside to cook out on the grill and Ben just commented on how the sun made the water in the pool so warm. The next thing I knew, Ben jumped in fully clothed. Of course it didn't take long for the kids to catch on.
Here was Ben showing off his skills. He was still able to float in the shallow water.
William was using Ben as a surf board here. Pools are always fun, but it is always a little bit more fun when you do it fully clothed for some reason. I was trying to be good, so I just watched them have a good time while I grilled out. Before I knew it, Ben started soaking me with William's toy. So, I joined them. That was a fun pre-dinner activity for the family.

Some Pre-Summer Fun- Continued

Ben and the kids were playing a game here. Ben was going under water to try to find the kids feet so he could "attack" them. The kids found that the only way to escape Ben was to climb on his back. They were having a good time.
The kids were just checking up on their Daddy to make sure he was doing okay.
It's funny. Even though Ben has all of his diving training and all of his diving equipment, he was still having fun snorkeling in water that was about a foot and a half deep.
Emma was getting a fun ride on Ben's back as he was starting up a whirlpool. She loved it.

Updates!

So sorry that this blog hasn't been updated in almost a month. Everything has been so hectic. We had our house tented in the beginning of June, and now that is done and over with, we were finally able to start getting things ready for Morgan's arrival. Now that everything is ready for her to come, hopefully things will slow down a little before she gets here. I have been walking around for the past 2 weeks at 3 cm. But, who knows when little Morgan will come? We are just waiting excitedly for her.

Here is a cute pic of our little fashion diva. Emma loves to wear dresses. As soon as she wakes up in the morning, she takes off her pajamas and puts on a dress. Her outfit is not complete until she has some kind of shoes on her little feet. This is an outfit Emma put together on her own. I think she is trying to start a new fashion trend.
I had just finished cleaning Morgan's baby carrier when William wanted to demonstrate how much he has grown since he fit into a seat like that. It is hard to believe that he did fit into a seat like that at one time.
