Here she comes...

Oh my goodness - my baby is trying to crawl! She is up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth and has now gone a few moves forward. I am so not ready for this...it makes her seem too grown-up. I have not hurried Addi along in anything because I just want to enjoy every second of her being little. I know anyday now I will watch her just crawl all the way across a room.

New Things

I love this picture of Addi's little teeth - they have been so hard to get a picture of. This is her eating "puffs" for the first time. She did not like them so much at first, but now loves them. She also seemed to need a pillow behind her sitting up for so long because she would just throw herself backwards. She no longer does that and loves to sit up and just play toys. The light up ring stacker is her favorite. All of my kids have made a funny face when they were a baby that we call "the O-face". The bottom picture is us trying to teach Addi to make it. She is starting to get it, but the mouth still needs to get more O-shaped to be the perfect "O-face".

Funny, Funny Boy

Brady said the funniest thing today. Someone knocked on our door and Megan and Brady looked out to see who it was. Brady said, "it's the Bishop." He was very serious in saying this and was not kidding around. He didn't even think to say, "it's Daddy". (For those of you who don't know, Jason is the Bishop). I love that he thinks of his Daddy as his Bishop also.

Sisterly Love

Hailee and Addison have such a sweet relationship! If I am not around Hailee is by far the next person Addi wants. Hailee takes such good care of her and can do so many things to help out with her. A couple of weeks ago my friend was watching Addi at church while I taught a lesson and when she could not get Addison to calm down she sought out Hailee (who was at home sick, so instead she went and got Megan to help). I sure love all of these sweet girls and am so looking forward to seeing who they become when they grow up and have such hopes and dreams for them.

Amazing Grandpa's!

My kids are so lucky to have the grandpa's that they do! They support our kids in everything they do and love them unconditionally. How grateful we are for them! Thank you for being the best examples of love, righteousness, service, and parenting.

Happy Father's Day

I have the world's best husband and father to our children! He is unbelievably patient and kind. I am constantly amazed by his work load and the amount he gets done. I know how VERY blessed we are to have him in our lives. The kids all yell "Daddy" and run to him anytime he walks in the door. He is one very special man and we love him so much! Thank you Jason for all you do for us. You are my rock!

Happy 8 Months Old

Happy 8 month birthday Addi! Time with my adorable children is just racing past too quickly. Elder Ballard's conference talk on motherhood impacted me so much. It reminded me to treasure each and every second with them and not to be in such a hurry for them to go to bed or to grow up. I love it when a talk feels like it is speaking directly to me. I am so grateful for each of my kids and know what an amazing gift they each are!

Surgery Day

Poor, sweet Hailee had to get her tonsils and adnoids out on Friday. She has had rampant strep throat for the last 3 years and had also grown a 3rd tonsil. The doctor said they really needed to be removed so we scheduled it for the day after school got out. The surgery itself was only 15 minutes long (amazing) but from the time we left home until the time we returned was 7 1/2 hours. Addi did amazing being there that long...thank goodness I had Jason's help. The first picture is of Hailee when she first received the "giggle juice" which relaxes them. This is where I had to leave her. The second picture is when she was in the recovery room and in a lot of pain and very scared. The final picture is when they were wheeling her out to the car. She slept most of the first day. The 2nd day was pretty bad, and today is the 3rd day and has actually been the worst. Poor girl! I feel so sorry for her and hate seeing her in so much pain. She is hardly getting any fluids down which worries me so her Pop is coming to give her a blessing tonight. Hopefully the intense pain will subside some. I am so proud of how good she has done with it all though!

Go away spiders!

We have 2 spiders that live in our window in our study. Brady decided to scare them away today. He said he "made a long line of scary men to scare the spiders away." Creative little boy...I love all of the funny things he comes up with.
