At work with Daddy!

Addi went to work for a little bit with Jason the other day while I had a meeting with a birth mom I am working with. She was quite the little hit of the office. Unfortunately Jason is out of town for a while and we sure miss him when he is away. Whenever he calls, Addi wants to "talk" and as soon as she hears his voice she just smiles and gets instantly happy. We miss you Jason and our family and house is not the same with you gone. We cannot wait for you to come home!!!!! We love you.

How we spend our day!

Addi LOVES to be outside! She will stand by the glass doors in our living room fussing to go outside. She loves the animals and VERY clearly says, "Hi cat, Hi dog" and waves at them. It is the cutest thing ever! We swing and go on walks several times a day. She loves to play in the kids rooms while they are at school and get into their stuff. I know this is only the beginning of this! In the afternoons she "helps" Hailee practice piano and then knows Hailee will take her on walk while I work on dinner. Having an 11 year old daugther to help out is awesome! Hailee is an amazing helper and is going to be a fabulous babysitter soon.

The Rain Doesn't Stop Us

We were all prepared for some pretty bad weather from Hurricane Ike on Saturday, but we luckily got out pretty easy. All we got was some rain! Jason did not let that stop the kids from doing their Saturday work. Looks like they were enjoying themselves still though! Hailee and Megan both had friends over to play, so that made it even more fun.

Eleven Months Old

Addi turned 11 months old today! I cannot believe that she will be a year old next month. My sweet sister-in-law Emily gave me the idea of taking Addi's picture next to the same bear every month of her first year. How fun it has been to look back and see how much she has grown! Here are some fun things about Addi at this age: she loves outside, she does not like baby food anymore (ONLY our table food), she still wears a size 2 diaper, she does not like sippy cups, she takes 2 naps a day - one short and one a little longer, she still HATES the car, shhhh.....she still wakes up at 4:30 am to nurse (I know - I am bad), she LOVES to suck her 3 middle fingers while holding her lovey, and gives the best kisses ever!

Soccer Season Has Arrived!

Soccer season has now officially started and wow, it is busy! This is Megan's first year to play and she looked so cute out there at her first game last Saturday. She is definetly the smallest on her team. They are called "The Pink Panthers" and practice twice a week with Saturday games. Brady is in his 2nd season and is on the "Tow-Maters" team again and has practice once a week with Saturday and some Monday games. You can see that it is clicking this season and he is much more into the game and aggressive on the field (although he still likes to talk a lot while he is playing - funny boy!)

The end of swimming season!

We are all feeling like fall is on the way after the beautiful cool weather we had today (even though I am sure it will probably get hot again here). I so enjoyed having my windows open all day. It seemed to give me a huge burst of energy. The kids are sad to see summer and swimming season go, but to be honest, I am ready for the change. I love the fall colors, holidays, clothing, outside activities, and evening walks - the only thing I do not look forward to is the allergies!

Happy 6th Birthday Brady

Happy 6th Birthday Brady boy!!! We have enjoyed celebrating Brady's birthday over the weekend. We had his birthday party at the pool on Saturday. He picked Wall-E as his theme. The weather was perfect for a swimming party. We went ahead and let him open up his presents from us on Monday since we would be so rushed the next morning for school and he wanted time to play with everything. This morning we had one of his favorite breakfasts - french toast with powdered sugar and syrup (sugarload, I know!). He is taking cookies to school today to share with his friends and he is so excited about that. We sure love you Brady and are so glad you are part of our family. I cannot imagine not having your affection, energy, humor, and enjoyment for life in our house. You are the best little guy ever!
