Uncle Trey and Elyse got home from Carlinville after Christmas and stopped by to deliver the nightstands that they picked up for me (a friend in St. Louis made them). They were going to run and grab dinner so the boys asked if they could babysit Archie. It was the first time for Caes and Archie to meet. They actually did very well! Glad the boys are getting used to Archie now so that as he gets bigger they won’t be scared of him!
The whole state of Arkansas got snow on Christmas day except for NW Arkansas! I didn’t even know that there was a chance of snow today, but this afternoon it started coming down pretty good! Cade was napping so he missed out on the early fun. Cole was so excited and ran out to catch snowflakes on his tongue.
Ray Ray and Ju Ju gave the boys a new sled for Christmas so Cole was excited to give it a try. He called it his “snow board.”
I couldn’t stand that Cade was missing out so I woke him up and bundled him up in snow gear.

We had a low key Christmas eve just hanging out, wrapping last minute gifts and making cookies for Santa.
The weather reports were all over the place, but it was looking like the chances were good for a white Christmas! Nana decided she’d stay at her house tonight so she wouldn’t get snowed in here..just in case. That meant lots of presents to open on Christmas eve!
I told the boys earlier in the day that we had a special surprise for them later. They immediately thought it was a toy. I told them that it wasn’t a toy, it was a memory. This got them really confused. After we opened our presents from Nana and got on our Christmas PJs, I gave them one last thing. It was a “golden ticket” for the Rogers’ Express (aka Polar Express). We had the car warmed up, Christmas music playing and bags of popcorn and hot cocoa for the trip. Kyle even “punched” their ticket when they came onboard. The boys were giddy with excitement. Cole was worried that we were leaving too late (they had no idea what time it was) and was afraid we wouldn’t make it home in time for Santa. We drove up to the Square to see the Christmas lights. Perfect ending to a great day. On the way home, Cole asked if we could do it again every year. Music to my ears! Cade on the other hand kept saying that we needed to do more “mysteries.” He got confused since I called it a memory earlier in the day so to him it wasn’t a memory, it was a mystery!
Once we got back home, it was time to put out the reindeer food that Nopeo left and the carrots.
I didn’t have much time, but I tried to recreate this magical picture that everyone takes in front of their tree.
I laughed out loud when I downloaded my pics and found this one (Cade is scratching his booty!) That’s about as magical as it gets around here!

We got to meet my newest nephew tonight, Archie! Trey and Elyse just got him yesterday. He’s a golden doodle and ADORABLE!

We had Christmas with Kyle’s family tonight. Tons of fun. We played games and sang Christmas carols and of course, opened presents! The boys got a basketball thing from meme and grandpa. they were excited. We loved seeing Ray Ray and Ju Ju.
Nopeo must have been worn out after all of the weekend activities so we found him taking a marshmellow bath and had an eye mask on. Cole thought it was funny. Cade was mad that Nopeo “took all those marshmellows” :)
