Cade woke up Sunday morning to his birthday banner, a special birthday chair, pancakes and candles. His big surprise was his new BIKE. Not only did we haul it to the beach, we hid it! Kyle and Cole’s bikes rode on the back of the car on a bike rack. Cade’s was inside the car under all of our stuff so he wouldn’t see it! I love a good birthday surprise.
I found the PERFECT bike for Cade. I actually feel pretty smart about it. It is a Schwinn so it’s super cute and has a bell, but the coolest part is that it has a steerable handle that I can use to follow behind him and help him steer or just give him a boost when he needs it. For a 3 year old that wants to follow behind his big brother and daddy at the beach, this is super important. Once he’s ready, we can take the handle off. So cool. It was a miracle that it actually made it to Fayetteville in time for the trip. I search and searched and ordered and cancelled from 4 or 5 different vendors trying to get it in time. Target came through for me!
It was also father’s day! I brought all of the stuff that the boys made at school for Kyle and we gave it to him at breakfast. Cole loves that stuff. We also got him a new watch and he was pretty surprised. The day was spent beaching, riding bikes, eating sno cones and crabbing!
As I’ve mentioned before, my boys love glitter tattoos. Cole got a red and blue star that looks like Captain America. Cade on the other hand insisted on a blue and purple butterfly :)
At dark, we headed down to the beach to catch crabs and we caught 5! So fun.
