Miss Kaytlin Elizabeth Hall




Born: November 27, 2008 at 10:52 a.m.

Weight: 7 lbs. 3 oz.

We praise our all powerful and incredibly amazing Lord for our little Thanksgiving blessing. Words cannot describe the overwhelming and all consuming love that we already have for her. Here are some pics (sorry we do not have the best pictures, our families were in charge of that, but these should do for now, we promise to get better ones soon!

P.S. I will blog about the amazing experience of her birth soon :-) For now, we are off to enjoy more time with our precious blessings.

40 Weeks in the making... and we are still going =)

TODAY is the due date and we wait... at this point that is all we can do. Miss Kaytlin Elizabeth is obviously making her grand entrance when she is good and ready and not when ALL of us want for her to, but that is perfectly fine with us! We know God's plan is much better than ours. Here is my 40 week picture. I am not sure it shows how much I have dropped, but my doctor and others who have been through this process with me have definitely noticed that I have dropped (especially if you see me in person. even people on the street comment about it ;-)

39 week Update

GOOD NEWS! Progress has been made!

I am 80% effaced and 2 centimeters dilated! I continue to have lots of Braxton Hicks contractions, I am just waiting for the real thing now :-)
If I have not had her by next Tuesday then I go back to the doctor then :-)

I will keep everyone updated!!!!

38 Week Update

WOOOOOHHHHHHH Belly :-)

Yes, can you believe how far my skin has stretched! Miss Kaytlin continues to grow and grow. She is also still very active (especially if I am still or after I eat).

Well, I had hoped to have an update for you BUT literally on my way to my OB appointment, her office called and she had gotten called into an emergency surgery, so I had to reschedule for next Tuesday morning. Hopefully I will have an update then!

A late 37 week update...

I am officially almost 38 weeks, and I never updated you on week 37, so here goes...

-It was a fairly rough week for me actually, because I had a cold. I literally ended up sleeping an entire day/night away. I do not think I have ever slept that much in my life, but my poor immune system was fighting this cold without any medicine. I think it was due to the weather, but I am doing better now, hopefully no more colds!

-I went to the doctor Friday and NO PROGRESS, my cervix is still softening, but I am not dilated at all! She told me I would go full term if not beyond! I am not miserable or anything like that, we are just so ready to see and meet her! Obviously (like all babies) she is on her own time table :-)
*On a side note, at 4 a.m. on Friday, I thought I was going into labor. I was having contractions, that started in the back and moved to my belly and were about 7 minutes apart lasting about a minute each. They continued to get closer together and more intense for the next 3 hours (I got up, ate something laid down differently because that usually stops contractions if you are not in true labor) and just before I was going to call the doctor, they subsided... so false labor! Oh well, it was good practice with my breathing and things like that.

-J&I continue to try and be "over-prepared" although I am not sure if that can happen when you are having a baby. Jeremy has done so many "honey do" projects it is insane, but I am SO appreciative. I would had done some of them, but he is very insistent that I do not help with certain things (like yard work) because he thinks it is not good for Kaytlin.... Oh well, I tried! You probably would not believe this, but I will take pictures this week and post them on my next post but we decorated our tree (or maybe I should say Jeremy's mom decorated our Christmas tree for us) this weekend, and we went Christmas shopping for our families (only 3 more gifts to buy... we did good!). I plan on putting the rest of our Christmas decorations out today and tomorrow and wrapping the presents too. We just are not sure what to expect once Kaytlin comes and we do not want to put any extra stress on ourselves, so we are doing our best to get things done early :-)

Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy and baby! We appreciate everyone's love, and support and cannot wait to announce that she is here :-)

My next doctor's appointment is Thursday, so I will update you this week with any details (hopefully I will be a little dilated)...

The Nursery

My amazing sister came into town this weekend (while Jeremy was away hunting) and completely decorated our nursery and got us organized. Here are a couple of quick snap shots I took... we are still waiting on our chair to arrive (it should be here in the next 2 weeks) and for the curtains to come in (they are due in this week). I forgot to grab some shots of our closet as well, but I can do that when the nursery is completely finished. I am so grateful to my sister and ALL of her help, I am not sure what I would have done without her (besides not be ready :-)

I also have to say thank you for Keri for picking out our wall color, Jeremy and I love it, and to my amazing husband Jeremy for painting, not one color (the first color we were not a fan of), but 2 colors. He did a fabulous job and I cannot thank him enough! I love you baby!

P.S. In the pictures the furniture comes out almost black, but it is more of an expresso (dark brown) color... plus the wall color looks a bit different in person, but hey, you get the idea :-)
