My new wall hanging

Some talented women at church helped us make this cute wall hanging this month. I love making crafty things, but can't do it on my own. I need step-by-step instructions. It was so much fun to make and even more fun to look at it on my wall knowing I made it! I am grateful to have such talented friends!

Happy Birthday, Owen!

Owen celebrated his 2nd birthday last week with a Thomas celebration. He is Thomas' biggest fan. His cake was almost too cute to eat.

Another new Thomas toy. We are almost ready to open a Thomas museum at our house!

One of Owen's birthday gifts was to visit a brand new train museum just minutes from our house. It is 25,000 sq. ft. of trains and this month they happened to be featuring Thomas. Owen was in heaven.

Our favorite part of the museum was a huge train play area.

If you look closely, you can see Owen trying to push Ashleigh off his side. He was not in the mood to share anything because this was his "choo-choo."

I didn't get many pictures of Owen because he wouldn't stand still long enough for me to snap his picture.

This was Owen's favorite ride in the play area. It was the only time he would stand still.

Fun with the Girls

Ashleigh has been doing some fun things with her Girl Scout troop this month. We took a trip to a fire station where they got to use a real fire hose. They taught them about what to do in case of a fire and Ashleigh got really worried about having to leave her white teddy bear behind if we had a fire.


This week we had a Luau with all the area Girl Scouts at Trenton's school. Ashleigh loved dressing up and dancing in the gym. They had a real DJ for the girls who played a few borderline inappropriate songs, but the girls didn't seem to notice. It was hilarious to see them all dancing to the song "Single Ladies" (by Beonce, I think). The DJ made sure to point out that they were in fact all single ladies. Nice.
