Eye Doctor Visit

Today was a big day for Dallin.  We went downtown to Cincinnati Children's Hospital to get measured and select Dallin's new glasses.  He was a very good patient!  He seemed to really enjoy trying on lots of different frames and looking at himself in the mirror.  Owen even got to try some on for fun.  Owen said he wanted to pick Dallin's glasses out for him and didn't exactly agree on the ones the doctor recommended, but decided they would do since we were ordering them in blue.

A camping we will go...!

 We recently acquired a permanently parked camper located 40 minutes north of our house.  We aren't sure what to call it yet...the camper, the cabin, the lake (since the property it's located on it called The Lake in the Woods), or our hillbilly vacation home, but whatever we call it, the kids love it!  Their favorite part is the golf carts of course, but who can blame them?  We have been having lots of fun exploring the woods on them and so far we've only been lost once :) 

 The best part about the new camper is that it gives us the opportunity to take the kids camping on a regular basis.  We didn't camp at all last year due to a busy and very hot summer!  With air conditioning in the camper, a little heat won't keep us away!  It is also nice not having to pack up the van just to go camp for a night.  It is a lot of work getting everything together and then unpacking it all the next day when we get home.  With the camper, we don't have to do any of the work anymore!

 The reward for all of Trenton's hard work...he made it to the creek!!  Isn't it beautiful?  He is going to start on more trails now that he accomplished his first goal of getting us down to the creek.

 The other golf cart.  It is much smaller than the other one, so this is the one the kids are allowed to drive around.  Trenton had a good time with a friend over the weekend.

Owen's Preschool Graduation



 Owen is officially a Kindergartner!  He graduated from preschool this week in a special graduation ceremony.  A year ago he would not have participated in front of the entire school!  He has grown up so much this past year!

 My camera does not take pictures well in dimly lighted areas, so sadly this is the best picture I have of him :( 

One of the other moms put together these videos of the class Mothers' Day program.  Again, this is huge for Owen because last year he would not have participated.  So, so proud of him!!  Enjoy!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Dallin!

 The loot!  It seemed like Christmas!  He had so much fun opening all of his presents.  Several times while opening his presents he sang "Happy Birthday to you" to us with a huge grin on his face.  Thank you grandmas, aunts, and uncles for mailing him presents this year.  He had a great time opening so many gifts at the same time. 

 Dallin is such a cute boy!  He is loved so much by his brothers and sister.  He makes us laugh everyday with his silliness.  He is a cuddly boy which Mom loves.  He is also very attached to Mom which makes life hard sometimes.  Dallin loves to play outdoors.  If allowed, he would never come indoors.  He is always by Mom's side, rarely playing by himself.  He continues to love cords on electronics and real tools which makes us think he likes danger a little too much.  He insists on unplugging the vaccum everytime it is used.  Owen says he is a nice little boy because he sometimes helps him clean up his toys.  Dallin loves to watch the action around him and does not miss a thing!  Anything Owen or Ashleigh have, he wants to.  Luckily they love to include him in most of their fun.  He is a very social boy, saying "hi" to everyone he sees outside or at the store.  He is a good talker and jibber jabbers all day long.  Dallin loves animals with his favorite being cows.  He has a cute "moooo".  He is quite proud of being able to identify all of his body parts when prompted.  We love you, sweet Dallin!

Early Birthday Present

 Dallin's birthday is Sunday, but we picked up his big birthday present today and I couldn't resist putting it together and letting him play!  It is such a fun water table!  He spent four hours playing in it today, completing soaking three outfits and his shoes, so I think it's a hit!  He loves to be outdoors, but drives me crazy by running into the neighbor's yard or getting into other trouble, so this should provide a ton of safe fun for him this summer!  The other kids love it too, playing with it about as long as Dallin today.

1st T-Ball Game

Owen played in his first t-ball game last week.  His team is the Little Reds, which is great since red is Owen's favorite color.  He looked adorable in his baseball pants!  He is a great hitter and insists on sliding into every base.  He refers to his baseball pants as "the pants I can get dirty" and they sure did get dirty!
