Arrow of Light ceremony

Trenton graduated from Cub Scouts this past week and was honored with a special Arrow of Light ceremony. The Arrow of Light is the highest award a Cub Scout can earn and it is carried over to the Boy Scout uniform.

Trenton was presented with a special Arrow of Honor during his ceremony which was marked with all of the achievements he earned as a Cub Scout. It is made with a real arrowhead and turkey feathers.

Gratitude

This is Owen's list of things he is grateful this year. I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't include any toys, cartoons, or Wii games. We're very grateful for Owen!

Straight A's!

Trenton got straight A's on his first 5th grade report card. I give a dollar an A, but for straight A's I double it. Trenton has become a very good student using a planner and studying early for tests. We are so proud of him!

Secret Service

After a Primary lesson on service, Ashleigh spent the week doing secret service for everyone at home. She made everyone's bed at least once and picked up things for me. After she helped someone, she left a little heart with a message so that we knew she had served us. We're grateful for wonderful Primary teachers!

Our Cute Baby!

Dallin continues to change everyday! He can now roll all the way across the room. He has discovered paper and recently ate half a page out of Owen's book because it was left on the floor. I have started scanning for danger everytime I put him down and know I need to start baby proofing more soon. He will mobile before I know it!

Like Ashleigh, Dallin's best feature is his smile. His whole face lights up when he's happy, which is usually when he is talked to.

Museum Fun

The kids had a couple of days off school this week, so we headed to the Cincinnati Children's Museum for some fun.

Trenton spent an hour building this city. Many parents stopped to take pictures of it when he finished. He was so, so proud of it and all the attention he received. One mom told him he was going to be an architect for sure, which is exactly what he wants to be.

Halloween 2010

Everyone designed and carved their own pumpkins this year. Trenton's pumpkin is a robot.

Owen was a black ninja, Trenton was a hobo, Dallin was Mickey Mouse, and Ashleigh was a cheerleader.
