Dallin's New Glasses

 Here he is with his new glasses day two.  He wasn't sure he wanted to wear them at first, but it is getting a little better now that we aren't making a big deal about them. 

 Cute boy!  He loves the outdoors!  What do you think about my $5 garage sale car find?  We love the trunk in back and sunroof on top!

Here you can see the bifocal lens a little clearer.  They cut right across his pupils to help with his farsightedness.

Strawberry Picking

 We headed to our favorite berry farm to pick strawberries for my annual jam making this week.  We picked the best day for it because it was beautiful and cool.  Between the five of us, we picked just under 16 pounds in an hour!  I have trained my little workers well :)  They know which ones are the best ones to pick and where to look for "jack-pots" as Owen calls them.  Jack-pots are whevever there are lots of strawberries on one plant.  Owen's favorite job is to identify the jack-pots for us and then keep moving to find another without really picking any.

 Dallin's favorite part is eating the strawberries.  He definitely ate more than he picked as evidenced by the red stains on his shirt and face, but I was so impressed that he worked right along side me the whole hour.  He picked and picked, but then shoved them into his mouth instead of dropping them in my basket. 

Using roughly 15 pounds of strawberries, I made 36 jars of jam this year!  A new record!

School's Out!!

 The end of the year festivities began with Trenton's 6th grade graduation ceremony.  He looked extra handsome in his suit :)  He received multiple awards and honors, including two distinguished awards for earning straight A's all year and being an Honor Roll student all year.  Middle school here we come!  (Ashleigh also earned straight A's all year too!)

 Trenton made this cute mug in art class at the end of the year.  Sadly art class is being cut next year, so no more treasures for me :( 

 We celebrated the last day of school with snow cones,
