Just for Laughs

Well I survived midterm week; academically I may be in the ICU but I'm alive! Things around the Egbert home have been pretty mundane hence the lack of posts. Liz has been been keeping busy with work and in her free time she has been reading the Chronicles of Narnia. I am keeping busy with my job at the bookstore and with the semester work load. I'm so happy this semester is half way over! I just thought I would share a few videos that kept me sane this last week as I went through midterms; hope they brighten your day with a few laughs like they did for me.


That on gets me every time! This next one is actually kind of tragic...in a humurous sort of way...

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope all had a wonderful Valentine's Day! It was definately stormy outside but we had lots of fun! We went snowshoeing and out to lunch then kept indoors to avoid the snow and crowds :) JD picked out these lovely flowers for me! Thanks JD you are such a sweetheart! I am so lucky to have such a sweet, fun, and cute husband!

Here we are on the way back from snowshoeing! We didn't get to go where we wanted originally because they had closed the road due to the inclement weather, but we went to a park up Provo Canyon and had lots of fun anyway!
Yesterday, JD and I, had the oppertunity to teach about Faith and Repentance. They are such basic principles, but I never cease to be amazed by what I need to learn and how much I can improve. We did a couple object lessons and they were alot of fun, but the thing that hit me the most is how faith is a priciple of action. Every day we act on faith for temporal things, such as going to work or school because we believe that we will recieve payment or learning, whichever the case may be, if we do that thing. So it is with the spiritual in our lives, if we center our faith in truth or more specifically our Savior. I am so grateful for the gospel and the understanding it brings to my life. I know that having the gospel in my life has given me so much joy and strength to make it through the hard times. So I just want to express my gratitude quite simply for the gospel and for my sweet husband and for each and every new day!

Gracey's Birthday and Redd time!

A couple of weeks ago when JD and I went to Poky for Kailey's baby shower it was also Gracey's birthday so here are some more pictures for your viewing pleasure!

It was fun to spend time with family these last couple of weeks! But it is back to school and work for the both of us! We have lots of fun but miss our families! Yeah for phones and modern technology that help us communicate!

Doug's Wedding and Egbert Family Time

JD's best friend from high school got married this weekend. He is the one in the middle with the glasses and here are all the groomsmen! The one on the far left is my favorite :)

Kailey's Baby Shower

Here is a picture of Jen's baby Lily, she was my roommate in college and is married to my cousin Nathan, this was at the shower and she is so cute in Becky's (grandma) arms!

Here is a good shot of Kailey's tummy, she is pretty petite so it is funny to see her pregnant. She is due in March! Yeah! She is having a girl and the plan is to name her Elly Jane... :) Chels I have to say the facial expression is amazing!

Hobbies and Such

So I have been a slacker about posting but this is just a little of what I have been up to this new year. I planted this plant that a neighbor gave me, I think it is called a Charlie and if not that is its name anyway :)

I decided to try out my sewing machine I got for Christmas and made a scrub top. It was an easy pattern and I am not amazing so don't look too close, but I tried. :)
Here is something that took way too long and was frustrating but a good excercise in patience. It was 1000 pieces! But I am glad it is done so I have room in my living room again! It was fun! Yeah for puzzles!

Here is a group project that JD and I did to help us keep our family with us! We had tons of fun making this collage and are planning to add to it with photos from when we go home or do fun stuff... like go on a cruise in a few months :)
