It has been a busy couple weeks so I thought I would post an update of all we have been up to.
First of all we bought a house!!!
We closed on the 22nd of April and moved one box in. We celebrated by going to Lowes and looking for a dishwasher and going out to Whataburger.
The next day Cami had her last soccer game. She was missing a couple of teammates in this picture, but I must say soccer was a much more pleasant experience this year. She had fun teammates, most of whom already kinda knew how to play and a good coach whom she enjoyed. She had so much fun and was always giggling and happy while playing and she improved over last year so win win!
Then she had a birthday party for a a friend at Peter Piper Pizza, which of course she loved.
Playing mom's new piano! I was so excited for this. JD may not remember, but when we were first married I told him that someday when we had a house and not an apartment then I could get a piano. So combination of my birthday, mother's day, and anniversary gift, I got this neat old piano I found on craigslist. Cool story with it is that the owner who is probably in her 80's has had it since she was 9 years old. She got it from her pastor when she was in catholic school after he made her promise to learn to play it and also learn to play the organ. It was built in 1903 and so it is old, but she loved it and took good care of it and it sounds beautiful. I love it! It even has all its original ivory keys that need a little whitening, but otherwise for being over 100 years old are in great shape. I am glad to have a real piano although I have been very grateful for my little keyboard that JD thoughtfully gave me as a gift when we were engaged.

Cami had her kindergarten performance the next Tuesday and she was quite the little performer. She is not shy at all and had so much fun. She also unfortunately had a cold, poor thing.

Cami made this umbrella hat at the afterschool program and wanted me to take a picture of it. She created it by herself and I just helped make sure the pieces were attached. Pretty fun!
That Friday Cami had a class field trip to the Aquarium. I got to chaperone her and this other cute little girl. Luckily they had lots of parent volunteers so I only had two kids, and it gave me a taste of what it will be like to have more than one kid when I go places and they both want to go in different directions...

Packing fun...I got these rather ridiculous sunglasses for a primary singing time activity. The kids thought they were a hoot. Cami just loved the sparkles.
I am not sure if this is before we loaded the truck or after we unloaded it. It is a little draining to do both in the same day I will tell you what!

Unpacking begins. I was so very grateful for all the help we received for the loading and unloading. I was worried about lifting things so I was grateful to not have to do the heavy lifting. We ran into a snag with hooking up the washer and JD learned some plumbing skiils, and we had the water shut off for a few hours, but he fixed it and we experienced the joy of being a home owner again.
We took a break that night and enjoyed some IHOP, which is always Cami's dinner place of choice. She obviously enjoyed her chocolate pancake...
Sunday we unwound a bit more and visited Sandfest to see the sand sculptures, which as always amaze me that people can do these things with sand.

And we celebrated my birthday! JD made me a yummy cheesecake! And I am one! No just kidding, but 28 candles is a bit much so one works just fine.
JD actually was looking forward to doing yard work. He was excited to buy a lawnmower and trimmer. Hopefully it will last till our kids are old enough to help out!
Cami bustin some moves at school. She has so much personality and is so outgoing and not shy at all. Quite different from me, and I just love it. She is always making people around her smile and laugh.
Happy Mother's Day! So this is a terrible picture, but it is Cami eating breakfast in bed with me. Friday the kindergarten had "Muffins for Mom's" which my phone was dead for so I didn't get any pictures, but we had muffins and juice and the kindergartners sang us a little song and gave us a mother's day present of breakfast in a bag, which included mini muffins and a breakfast bar. Cami was so excited to give it to me on Mother's Day and share it with me in bed. It was so cute!

And since I want to document what our sweet new house looks like I took pictures! We are pretty much all moved in and put away minus the baby's room and putting my craft dresser in the office. I love our home. I might have overdone it just a little in my haste to get settled, but after resting all day Saturday and JD making dinner two nights in a row, one because I was sick and the second because it was Mother's Day, I am feeling ready for a new week!

Well that wraps up the tour. It has been a fun busy crazy past couple of weeks and I can't believe Cami is almost done with kindergarten and that I am starting my 3rd trimester. It has been flying by. Life is good though and I am looking forward to making memories in our new home!
