First World Actor Problems

First World Actor Problems

So I'm whining like a little bitch, but not really, but sort of, because I'm under a screaming deadline and I need to create video all-day tomorrow like the wind. Like The Wind. So I could _only_ have one drink at post show drinkies tonight.

Oh waaah, wah, fucking boo hoo.

And the thing is, I didn't complain much about this. But I'm still complaining on the inside. And I KNOW that's bullshit, because I used to have to hold down a soul killing full time job on top of doing scripted theatrrr. And, granted, puppet work _is_ my job now, but still and all.....

.....I have to work all day tomorrow. And then do a show. After doing a show. But I get to do this job at home, in my jammies. Really. Not something I deserve sympathy for.

Lame. Go to bed, spoiled artist woman. Art more tomorrow. Be thankful.

Don't Let the Sound of Your Own Wheels Drive You Crazy

Don't Let the Sound of Your Own Wheels Drive You Crazy

The thing is, it's silly to beat myself up for not blogging. It's not like I have a rabid fan base demanding my snarky mundane life-insights daily. The 6 of you read them when I write them, or maybe a few days later, but when I don't your world is still spinning with nary a wobble.

I've always been crap at journaling. When it was assigned in school as a subpart of some assignment, it was always a situation where I stayed up late the night before reverse engineering the damn thing. Even in college. Hell, especially in college.

I see that the assignment had a purpose. I ass-ume they were looking to force introspection. Bitches, please. I am a robot made up of smaller robots whose sole function is introspection.

Or, as we like to call it Guilt-filled Second Guessing.

The Blog is the Answer

The Blog is the Answer

I have a friend who blogs everyday. Every. Damn. Day. And it's inspiring me to blog a bit more, so: Yay.

However, I have trouble getting around to reading his blog everyday, especially lately, nevermind finding time to blog my own daily bloggy blog.

But today, with some self-imposed laying on the couch time going on, I'm getting around to catching up on his last 2 weeks of blogs. And, obviously, blogging myself.

I'm in Lay on the Couch Mode because yesterday I felt like crap. Exhausted, like I'd been run over by a truck hauling roast turkey and white zin. Twice. Today I am both a little better and still a little off.

And I read a post from 2 weeks ago where my friend felt similarly exhausted. And then his post from the next day wherein friends had suggested he might be dehydrated. He drank water. He felt better. Magic!

I think about the weekend past. Lots of coffee and alcohol, check. 2+ hours per night of running around a hot theatrrr in wool pants, check. Yes, it's entirely possible that instead of succumbing to The Cast Cold, I may have just been dehydrated.

So I will continuing drinking juice and water. And be thankful for blogs.
