In the year 2013...

...I will write more.

Not necessarily here, but probably.
Not necessarily anything that will ever see the light of day, but maybe.

I've just noticed I didn't do much of it this year. What little I did was short and went almost directly to puppet staging. Nothing wrong with that, but for next year.....I have plans.

I want to keep it non-daunting, so the goal is one (1) show I am not directly involved in per month.

- I made 14 puppets
- 5 of them were singing penises
- plus a handful of object puppets, which aren't quite as involved
- also refurbished 1 puppet, which wound up being way more involved than I expected
- smallest puppet: 3"
- largest puppet: just over 12'
- 4 of the puppets were edible
- 2 of those were actually eaten onstage
- none of the edible puppets were penises

Given that I've had a massively busy year, I've decided to take the month of December

a) off
b) in reflection

So, I'll probably be blogging about that. Because blogs are a better place for extended writing than FB and twitter. Maybe daily, if it works out, maybe not; I don't intend to freak myself out about it, that's for sure.

Honestly, as this is happening, it makes a really lovely kind of sense. One usually takes stock in January; but by the time you've done that, you're already behind on the new year. By doing it now, I can start 2013 running. Unless the Mayans come and kick our asses, of course. Then it's all moot.

Besides, December's a basically useless month, anyway, what with all the holidays and social obligations and whatnot. Plus it's so frakkin' dark outside. Might as well go into a reflect/rebuild phase.
