Our new address in 113 Calle de Felicicdad RSM, Ca 92688. It is an 1100 sqft detached house with 2 bedrooms, 21/2 baths and a 2 car direct access garage. We feel so blessed to have found it and to be able to have our family live here.
Moving was a little crazy. That is an understatement I had majority of the house packed up and ready to roll, when Luke and I woke up Friday morning the day of the move with the stomach flu. I fortunately was not throwing up but poor Luke was vomiting every hour. The Elders quorum came and helped us move and it took a little longer than planned but we got there and tried to settle in.
David and I were slowing trying to get boxes unpacked on Saturday and got a lot accomplished before he had to go to the Priesthood session for General Conference. When he came home around 7 he said that he wasn't feeling well. Sure enough later that night David was so sick he was vomiting and looking really bad. It was only a matter of time before he was going to catch the flu from Luke and I. What we didn't expect at 2:30 int he morning was my water to break! Yep I went into Labor!
My water broke at 2:30 in the morning when I got up to use the bathroom. At first I wasn't sure if really was or not considering you really don't have good bladder control. But when I went to go lay back down I got a great big gush and new that I had not just had an accident. I was some what in a state of shock, this honestly was the last thing that I had expected to happen. I ran upstairs and found David sleeping and looking ill. I asked him if he was feeling better and he said kind of. I then proceeded to tell him that my water had broke and I had lost my mucus plug. He sits stright up out of bed and says, "You've got to be kidding?"
No I was not. I was in full blown labor. Within 15 minutes my contractions started and they were getting stronger and closer together. We called my parents and got Luke's stuff together. I was so frazzled, I hadn't even put an over night bag together for myself and I couldn't even find the toothpaste.
By the time we got into the car and started driving to my parents my contractions were 4 minutes apart. David was so scared that we were going to deliver in the car that he was driving like a maniac. 70 mph down Antonio Parkway. I was so terrified that I wasn't going to even make it to the hospital.
We made it to the hospital finally at 3:30 am and the contractions were pretty intense. I got settled in my room and they hooked my up the monitor. I had to endure the contractions "naturally" for a couple of hours because the anesthesiologist was coming from home. But luckily Dr. Capo was the Dr. that was on call that night! So I got my epidural but it wasn't the same as last time I still had pain. It was kind of funny I could feel nothing on the top half of my body but could feel everything on the bottom half. The anesthesiologist came and upped my dosage and made it as comfortable as possible and it was enough that I could rest.
By the time they checked my progress at 4:30 I was already 5cm. For the next couple of hours I just rested and relaxed as best I could. I was concerned about David he still was not feeling well and was now running a fever.
At 7 am they checked me again and told me that I was ready and they were just waiting for the doctor. I started pushing at 7:30 and immediately the contractions slowed to 5-6min apart. But 4 pushes later at 7:55 am out came Logan Thomas Didlake. 6lbs 15 oz 18 in long. Healthy and darked haired.
We are so excited to have him in our home and we feel so blessed and lucky. I thank my Heavenly Father each day for the beautiful boys that he has given to me.
