So last week was our last trip to Disneyland. We have finally decided not to renew our passes. With student loans, school and just cost of living. We just couldn't justify it any longer.

For me it was quite sad. I have been an annual pass holder since 1997. Dave and I have had many date nights. I get to feel the magic every time when I take my kids. But now that we will be once a year goers, I think that it will make it even more magical. So farewell Disneyland. Till next time.

29.

I turned 29 today.
Had a wonderful breakfast with old friends.
Spent the afternoon with boys watching some Scooby-Doo and Smurfs.
Went to the park and let the boys play and had great conversation with friends.
My parents ordered Tutto Fresco for dinner and we had chocolate and carrot cake.
The one thing missing?  My dear sweet husband.  Can't wait till he comes Thursday.

Early Birthday Present!

Not many of you know my extreme delight I get from stocking up on almost anything.  I owe it all to the wonderful blog world of frugal mom websites.  It gives me such pure joy to save money.  Dave constantly reminds me the best way to save is to not spend money!  Your right honey!  But if you have to spend there is no better way than to get it rock bottom price or FREE!  

Anyway back to my early birthday present.  I buy a lot of things that require to be frozen.  A couple of months ago my Mom's old freezer went and died on us.  Seriously how could it, it was only 20+ years old. Any-who I told Dave that I think we need to consider buying our own freezer for when we move out.  Which hopefully with be very, very soon.  More on that another time!  So we went shopping Saturday to Lowe's and then to SEARS.  We left 20 minutes later with this bad boy to be at our house next Friday.

But Jake has black hair, I need black hair too!

Have any of you seen the new show on Disney Junior, Jake and the Neverland Pirates?  Well around here it is all we talk about, think, play, dress.  Luke is totally in love with the character Jake.  Today I found him in the bathroom trying to make his hair crazy like his.  I told him I could help with that.  When I was done he looked in the mirror and says, "But Jake has black hair, I need black hair!"  Serioulsy!?!  Well I told him that blond hair is way cooler than black.  He left totally satisfied. Whew!  Glad I dodged that one.  Anyway he wanted a picture with his new do.  I am biased be he truly makes a great Jake look-a-like.  With blond hair that is.

Breathing Treatments

We have been sick, sick, sick! It started with Dave last weekend with another ear infection and cold. I thought the boys and I were free and clear but Monday morning I was down, then on Tuesday it hit Luke and Logan with fevers at midnight. We have been on vitamin c, tylenol & breathing treatments to help this cold run its course. I hope it is over soon. I am so over being sick.

My shopping companion

Logan and I are shopping buddies. He is my best critic but also my thrifty shopper. When I ask him if I really need this he always says no! On this particular day I was shopping for a new purse. He wanted this one. Me not so much.
