Blogging obviously has taken a back seat this last month. My goodness how time flies. I have so many things to post about I don't think I will ever catch up but I will start at the beginning.
Summer was awesome and to top it all off with a girls trip to Vegas. We had such a blast, my two wonderful, fantastic friends Valerie and Debbie lady-napped us and planned the while thing. Brunch to celebrate Carries birthday. Then a flight in Valerie's private plane to Vegas. We saw a show, shopped, visited the Las Vegas Temple and laid out by the pool. It was fun I can't wait till next year.
At the end of the month Kyle, Karli and Jack came down for Walter and Savannah's wedding. We were beyond excited to be able to see them even though it was such a short trip. Luke loved his baby cousin and all he wanted to do is hold him and take a picture with him. I also loved holding my new nephew. So cute and lovable and still has that newborn baby smell. Can't wait for us to get together soon.
So Nana turned __ today. (Age withheld we'll just say 29.) We asked her what kind of birthday cake she wanted, of course she said Midnight cake! Billy the Exterminator season premieres tonight and that is Luke and my Nana's favorite show. So Luke had the idea of celebrating VEXCON style. This is the cake adorned with the VEXCON symbol and all the pesky critters. Happy Birthday Nana we love you!
The other day Luke and I were talking about Christmas (that seems to be his favorite subject lately) and discussing that you have to be good for Santa to bring you presents but also us, his parents. He then replied that they would just come on the present truck. I think to my self the present truck? What is the present truck? I think to myself for a moment and think that maybe he is referring to Santa's sleigh. No, that is not it. I'm stumped. Luke gives up trying to explain it to me and we go about our day. Later we are in the car and he excitedly points to a UPS Truck and says, "Mom that! That, right there! That is the presents truck!" Then I understood it is the present truck because we buy things online and they deliver. How clever, I then proceeded to tell him that they also work for me and he still has to be good.
