Good Morning

The boys are extremely early risers.  5:30am or so sometimes.  I want to live somewhere else and be someone else those days.  But when they do wake up that early I tell them they have to play quietly in their room.  Logan doesn't climb out of his crib and Luke hasn't attempted to help him yet either.  So some mornings I walk into this.  Toys, toys and more toys all in Logan's crib and them playing quietly.  I wish sometimes that all the toys did stay in such a centralized location.  It would make my job a lot easier.

Daddy's Homecoming

Dave came home this weekend and needless to say we were all ecstatic to have him here.  He arrived late Friday night, he thought he was being quiet but I am an extremely light sleeper.  ( I can't have our newborn babies sleep with us because I can here them breath.)  So I woke up and was so excited to have him there I couldn't sleep, I just kept looking over at him and smiling and holding his hand. When the boys woke up Luke came in to the room to tell me Logan wanted to get up and saw Dave and said, "Dad you came back!"   As if he would ditch us forever, no I don't think so.  Logan was in shock and then leaped on Dave and gave him a huge hug.  We love our Dad and can't wait for this week to fly by and Friday night to come again.

"We wanted to see the flags the blow"

We woke up this morning to major wind.  It is so strong that our fence blew down and you can feel the house moving.  I was upstairs doing stuff and heard my Dad say "Boys what are you doing?  You can't have the front door open like this."  This is what I found.  I asked Luke what he was doing and he said, "We wanted to see the flags blow!"  Do you see the American flags there under the rain boot.  I love these guys.  They keep me laughing!

So Sad

Our family has had just a hurricane of a week.  Starting with me being released from primary.  Needless to say I was devastated.  I really didn't see it coming at all.  But I guess they try to move people out of there after 2 years or 2 programs, its okay I have at least 40+ years to have that calling again.  But then I was extended a call to teach the 13 year olds in Sunday school.  I am still stewing over it.  I really don't have that much to say about it except that I really don't like teenagers.  So obviously the Lord wants me to like them.  Pray for me!

Second Dave was pursuing jobs and was all set up to have one in L.A. but it fell through because they were not hiring new grads.  So then he was offered a position that he couldn't refuse in Porterville.  Porterville?  Yes Porterville, it is in between Fresno and Bakersfield.  Yep, a 4 hour drive to see my hubby.  We decided because it was a short contract 13-26 weeks, that he would live there and I would stay here with the kids.  Crazy I know.  He is renting a studio apartment 5 blocks from the hospital.   Did you know that the leasing offices are closed Sat/Sun in Porterville?  Completely unheard of.  We had to get Dave a hotel for 2 nights till he could look at an apartment on Monday morning.  We will see how things go.  We miss our Dad and can't wait for him to come home this weekend.
