Merry Christmas!

Newport Beach Nativity

Last weekend Dave watched the boys while I did some work in the Temple.
He decided to take them on a walk around temple grounds and took some cute pictures.
This nativity was on the lawn outside.
I love how each temple has a nativity at Christmas time.
Especially this one with Mary and Joseph holding the baby Jesus.

It is such a sweet reminder for the true meaning of the season.

It's raining, it's pouring the old man is snoring. . .

The boys have been so excited that we have had so much rain!  True  Southern Californians.  Yesterday in the car they found 2 umbrellas under the seat.  Of course they both claimed one and they were the first thing to be opened when they got up this morning.

Santa Claus

On Thursdays Rachel and I try to go to Dland to get full use of our pass and to spend some time together.  On this particular day Santa was there and we were able to visit with him and Mrs. Claus.  

It was so fun and we were also delighted to see Santa's reindeer.

Look what I did!

This year I put the Christmas lights up myself.  I promised Luke that they would get done and when the weekend fell short of time for Dave to do it I stepped in.  I got on the roof and everything.  By the way it was raining.  Just a little Scary.

Celebrate!

I feel that I can celebrate and breathe now that Sing Noel is over.  As you can tell it kind of put blogging on the back burner since Thanksgiving.  On a side note the children sang fantastic and I was so proud of them and myself for being apart of something to special.

I didn't think I was stressed over it but obviously my body was and I broke out in shingles all over my face.  And to top it all off I got a sinus infection.  I went to the doctor and she put me on 5 antibiotics!  Sheez!  I sure hope that when all this is over I truly will be able to celebrate Christmas.  So when you see pictures of my face don't mind the puffiness and redness.  Hopefully it will go away in time.
