Primary Program
Well the primary program was a success as I knew it would be. I am always so proud of the kids and at how well things come together and the spirit that fills the chapel.
I also was so proud of Luke. Some of the Sunbeams got out of order and Luke knew he was supposed to be after Ella. So got up there and then they pulled him back down, then he got up there again and they pulled him back down, then it happened again! They wanted Luke to be last because his part lead into the next song. When he finally did get to get to the podium he said his scripture "John 3:16, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting lasting life." completely memorized. We love him and are so grateful for his sweet spirit that fills our home.

Success!
We just got news that Dave passed his Physical Therapy Board exams. We are so thrilled and excited. I am so proud of my man and all his hard work. He deserves lots of praise! First and foremost we have to thank our Heavenly Father who helped us get to this point. It was a group effort with his help. Thanks to all the family members and friends for their thoughtful prayers.

Raleigh, North Carolina
I know I am almost 2months behind on this post. But I needed to compile all the photos and what not. So here it goes.
Raleigh, North Carolina 9.7.10-9.16.10
Day 1:
We took Jet Blue red eye flight to Boston and then on to Raleigh. FYI never to that again. It was horrible and when we arrived we were all so tired spent most of the day sleeping in our room. We rented a car that was supposed to be an SUV but ended up with a mini van which Luke nicknamed the TANK. The boys loved this thing with the self closing and opening doors. Luke tells me often since we have been home that we need one. I don't think so. We got dinner at Cookout which is a N.C. version of IN-N-OUT but cheaper and better shakes. It was good.
Day 2:
Headed out to Apex a suburb outside of Raleigh. It is up and coming and has lots of new young families and beautiful planned communities. It is where the Temple is located and we walked around and checked it out. While we were there we did a little house & job hunting. It was fun driving around looking at houses. I kind of fell in love with them out there. I might be slowly changing my mind about moving.
Day 3:
We went to Historic Oak County Park and did a self guided walking tour. It was fun because it was a old cotton plantation and mill. It had a museum and old farm equipment marking milestones of the progression of the cotton planting. It was fun for David and I not so much the boys.
Day 4:
Went to Chapel Hill and looked around and walked the campus of NC University. GO Tar-heels! Do you want to know why it is called Chapel Hill? Because there is chapel at the top of the hill. I know ingenious. It reminded me of Old Towne Orange but with more trees. I liked it and wanted to take more pictures and shop, but you know how it is with a bunch of boys. Another reason why I need a girl. Met with a realtor to look at homes. I was soooo excitied.
Day 5:
Drove to Virginia and went to Colonial Williamsburg. It was about a 3 hour drive, not to bad. I really liked it and wish that I had spent a couple of days there. Luke of course loved all the guns and cannons. Logan just wanted to be held he was getting tired of all the vacationing. Once again I think Dave and I enjoyed it more than the boys. Maybe we will go back when the kids are learning about the revolution.
Day 6:
Went to church or at least tried too. They have 4 wards that meet at the building. 2 of the wards have a flipped schedule. Classes first then Sacrament. So we arrived just as sacrament started. Loved the ward the families were nice and we talked with a couple of them. The primary had 100+ kids. Luke really liked that. It reminded me a lot of Live Oak Ward 20 years ago when Rancho Santa Margarita was brand new. After church we went home and changed and headed to this awesome park called Laurel Hills County park. This is how parks should be. I mean just check out the playgrounds. All the parks there have fishing lakes and are on acres and acres of land. The boys were in heaven.
Day 7:
We drove to the coast it is a couple hours from Raleigh. We were all so excited and couldn't wait. The beach was awesome. The water was at least 75+ degrees and the sand was so fine. The water was so blue and clear. I will say this though, the parking is way more expensive then Ca. After the beach we Wilmington. The best way to describe it is a east coast version of Newport Beach. Very uppity and lots of money. Cute town Kyle and Karli want to move there. The gas was at least .50 more than in Raleigh. We had dinner at a little local oyster bar. It was fun to experience and I want to go back.
Day 8:
Went to the crabtree mall. Can I just say that Raleigh has amazing shopping! It was fantastic, just like home but the stores were bigger and better and more stores that I had never even heard of that I wish I had no budget so I could go crazy. We also stopped by the N.C. Mission office to drop off a letter to Trent. It was cool to see where he had been living for this last year. We had already decided not to contact him for the sake of the boys and me.
Day 9:
All packed up and ready to go home. Boarded the plane for Boston, arrived and anticipated our 3 hour layover. But our trip took a different route. While the boys were playing Logan fell and hit the back of his head on a table and split it open. While we debated what we should do, stay and fly home or reschedule our flight and head to a hospital. We decided to do the latter. Jet Blue rescheduled our flight, we booked a hotel room which turned out to be 1 block from Mass General. Luckily the Lord was truly looking out for us this evening. The ER had been packed all day but when we walked in it was empty except for one another person. Logan was awesome and so brave. It was hard for me to watch and Dave actually held him through the whole thing. He got 3 stitches and they looked great. Luke was awesome too. Of course we were the talk of the ER that night, the family from the airport who had a an emergency. And everyone wanted to see the baby who was getting the stitches. The boys of course captured the hearts of all the nurses and doctors. They were showered with hospital gifts, stickers, popsicles, demos of all the cool machines. They made it a pleasant experience and I will always be thankful to Heavenly Father for having those sweet people there for our family. From start to finish we were in the ER for 2 hours. We walked back to the hotel and ordered room service which for me was a first. It was kind of exciting. And I will say this we had the best meal in our room with room service. We ate out to dinner every night except Sunday, we cooked lasagna in the microwave, at a restaurant and the room service was the best.
Day 10:
We had plans to tour Boston this day since our flight was not supposed to leave till, 6:30pm. What we didn't know was that the airlines will only check your bags 4 hours before your flight. Our was leaving in 6. So we had to either wait for 2 hours in an airport or call the hotel shuttle to come pick us up to wait int he lobby. We decided to wait int he lobby in the hotel. Logan fell asleep and Luke played video game. David and I played a few games of UNO. Just for the record I killed him. When Logan woke up we loaded the shuttle and headed back to the airport. We checked in our bags, grabbed so lunch and road the Boston subway system. It was so cool we road the blue line to the Boston Comms which is the Boston's central park. It was beautiful. We really only had like 30min to take in the scenes around us. We probably could have stayed a little longer but we just didn't want to miss our flight. We got back to airport and loaded the plane. It was a great plane ride except for the 15min tantrum Logan through. It was toward the end of the flight he was tired and ready to be done. I held my own and kept my cool and he eventually fell asleep. We made it home safe and sound.
We really did like N.C. it had man great opportunities and can't wait to go back.

I didn't want to tell anyone before hand because I didn't want to get my hopes up but it finally happened. I was featured in Southern Wedding Magazine. You can check out the online article here it has 3 parts so go check it out. The magazine hit newsstands this week so we ordered a hard copy.

Happy Birthday Logan!
My Baby is two today!
He entered this world with a grand entrance, leaving a huge wake behind him.
We love him dearly and are so blessed that he is in our family.
