Swimming at Nana and Papa's!

July sure has been a scorcher around here! Tonight was no different with the highs in the 90s so we headed over to Nana and Papa's house to take a dip, eat dinner and play bocce ball. My brother, Taylor, was there too and the girls had fun swimming with him. The girls absolutely LOVE to be in the water, especially Stella! Another great summer evening!

Happy 80th Birthday, G.G.!

Yesterday we attended Grandma Bergman's, aka G.G., 80th birthday held at my mother-in-law's house. We sat and chatted, watched all the great-grandchildren play in the kiddie pool, ate a yummy dinner and enjoyed family time! We love you, G.G. and are so lucky to have you in our family!

At every family gathering we try to get a picture of them with their 7 great-grandchildren - Alex, Charlie, Marlie, Layton, Mya, Stella and Adeline. It never works and we end up laughing so hard at the pathetic attempt. Honestly, this is the best one I got. LOL Next year there will be another child to add to the mix - Ash and Nate are due February 1st with #2!

Life's a Beach!

Yesterday we decided to go to the beach at Maumee Bay. This is literally less than 15 minutes from our house and we have never gone! We just never really thought about it. We are having the girls' pictures taken there in August and our photographer suggested that we take them there before that so they could get used to the sand since they have never been to the beach. I asked my friends, Lindsay and Kelly, if they would like to meet us there with their families. Lindsay brought Payne, but her husband had to work. Kelly brought her hubby, Kris, and her kiddos, Brody, Emmy and Jax. It was a perfect day! Seriously so beautiful!! There was a little breeze and the water was super warm. We played in the sand, splashed in the water and had a picnic lunch. We stayed about 3 hours and then headed home for naps. It made for some beautiful pictures - well they would have been even better if the water would have been blue! This was probably one of my favorite things we've done all summer and we can't wait to go back!
