Fun with our Friends

Yesterday we had a playdate with some of our best buddies! My friend, Lindsay L. and I try to get together often in the summer because we are both teachers and live close together.  My other friend, Lindsey B. lives in Okinawa, Japan and they were home for a visit so we all got to get together.  Remember this post and this post about us saying goodbye before they left last summer?  Well, it was soooooooo good to see them again! Juliana has gotten so big and Lindsey B. is now expecting a little boy October 3rd!  So much has changed!

 Lindsay L. had this sweet boy in April! Carter is such an adorable and chubby little guy and I simply can't get enough of him! The last two times we were together I got to snuggle him until he fell asleep and it simply melted my heart! Love him!

 Hubby was the only guy there so he kicked back and relaxed, joining in the conversation here and there! :)

Looking forward to some more playdates with them before they go back to Japan!

4th of July 2013

*I will be updating this post when I get a few more pictures from my sister because we took some cute family pics on her camera.

We celebrated the 4th for two days this year! On the 3rd we met up with the Pearsons and Riedemans for dinner at Swig and then walked down to the river to watch the Perrysburg/Maumee fireworks.  It was really fun to be with our cousins but surprisingly none of the kids were super interested in the fireworks so we left a little early.

On the actual 4th we were going to Aunt Lori and Uncle Dan's for a cookout.  This was the first 4th I can remember where it was overcast, chilly and rainy all day.  What a bummer! We still had a nice time though!

 I LOVE avocados!  These were cut for an avocado feta salsa I was making!

 

Here it is! It was a hit and the bowl was scraped clean! I also made marshmallow, brownie, strawberry and blueberry kabobs!
