Expectations X Discrepancy
I'm really surprised at the lack of standards in our school.
Seriously, if you put in effort, you should yield results. The bare fact that you are in HC proves that you of certain calibre. It disgusts me how some people can get pleased with such poor grades, claiming things like "the paper is tough" or "I didn't have time". If other people can do it, why can't you? I am in no means exceptionally smart. Let's see. Perhaps people should start finishing tutorials in time, by their own effort, and actually bother taking time to think instead of producing shoddy sub-standard work. Perhaps people should consider revising before an exam and not burn the midnight oil. Perhaps people should actually feel remorse and seek improvement. Maybe they would be able to see some results. It just sickens me how we are supposed to be the cream of the crop. Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Red is the official colour now, maybe I'll change the crystal letter banner once the CD cover or the PV comes out. Nana.C 5 not anywhere near though. Why no Etsuraku Camellia making?! T.T Finished I&I, because I have both ideas and issues with that piece of crap. Or not, it was helpful, so if you haven't done it, let your conscience massacre you yea? Going to do Bio now. Tomorrow is a very special day. It was the day the greatest loser was born \(≧▽≦)/ Tuesday, July 5, 2011

BANZAI
Blocks are finally over, and it has been a long time since I updated this with something.
It's been a while. Holidays were simply an excuse to load us students with additional responsibilities and worries to grow white hair. Exaggeration ttm yea, but holidays weren't exactly very relaxing. Tahan was seriously awesome with the god damn tornado and all the ridiculous crap. Still remember the 1.5 km trek through the branches and slippery rocks. Still remember the singing of Majulah Singapura at 8 am everyday. Remember asking Yan Rui to start some free radio service. Remember pushing the sides of the tent during the storm. Remember crossing my arms and climbing through the rocky slope. Remember lugging my harversack with all the rubbish compressed into a stinky ball of crap. Remember having to wake up shivering and prepping yourself before entering the cold air of the barren Gaydong. Remember having the final 1.5 hours of trek with the gloomy atmosphere on the way back to campsite on the 5th day. Remember the ineffable joy of reaching Wray's camp ahead of schedule. Remember the "This is a nice place... Because it's the camp site". Remember the random shouting when I felt very down for having sprained my leg while climbing up-slope and feeling thoroughly unmotivated after the river crossings. Remember talking about how shouting can imbue me with strength like some Super Saiyan and musing that my hair would somehow turn a golden yellow. Remember the scene where Yan Rui tries to sit behind me and Joshua at Reskit. Remember climbing through the fallen branch and avoiding the overhead branch only to walk straight into an overhead rock. Remember the discovery of a "mystery" while crossing the river with Solomon. Remember encouraging Joshua and realising how strong Joshua was for resisting the agony of his foot rot. Remembering the joy of reaching the camp site while every was in dregs. Remember the waterman emerging from the forest after the collect their water, hearing them complaining of the stupid mosquitoes attacking them during the process of collecting water. Remember waterman and Zachary going to collect water at Gaydong, getting lost in the process and all of us standing at the cliff trying to find them and trying to shout louder than the wind. Remember the sun shining down on our necks. Remember Yan Rui and I trying to do some lame kungfu poses. Remember leading to group and walking into a forest of thorns, with my neck's skin constantly being pulled. Remember the feeling of regret and despair for being lost and having to waste our team's time. Remember the joy of leading the team successfully. Remember "the rock with eyes... Oh shit, it's a giant frog". Remember zachary talking about finding a mansion and realising it's an elephant. Remember Solomon coming out of the tent to tell zachary and yingyue to diam because people were trying to sleep. Remember the coffee during dinner. Remember the milo balls in milo as a sweet sweet breakfast. Remember Yan Rui lagging behind and hearing him shouting that he found a method to tear the leeches apart, and seeing him emerge from behind the trees with his hands covered in blood. Remember the mass orgy of leeches on my leg, hidden by my shoe. Remember the 2km more and the X km by Joshua and Yan Rui. Remember seeing the abandoned orang aslit village and shouting "Fuck YES!". Remember seeing the wooden planks and shouting WOOT. Remember walking out of the forest. Remember the joy. Tahan was an awesome experience. Remember arriving at the train station at 8, only to realise it was closed and only open at 11 or 12? Remember the tickets being sold out, and being unable to buy the tickets for the next train ride because it was for the 8am train and was considered a train ride for the next day, and the awesome policy of "tomorrow ticket, tomorrow buy". Remember hoping onto the train and the awesomeness that followed. Yea! Remember the welcoming of the seniors and the vivo experience. Training has resumed. In fact I started already. Though my running has inevitably deteriorated, it's a matter of time before I get better. Life is finally back to normal after holidays, and while it wasn't exactly relaxing, I had a time of my life. I don't regret my decision of joining Tahan. I enjoy it, and I am proud of being an official Tahanner. On another topic, another dispute has surfaced. We all have our own reasons for what we do and we all react differently to the situations we are in. I want to say that what I think is really awesome about us is that we have had so many disputes, and yet we have been able to resolve them and emerge from them. To say we emerged stronger is but a cliche, but nonetheless we survived. Another dispute, another quarrel. However, I believe that given the two of you are close friends, that you would be able to resolve the conflict. I don't know if both of you still frequent this blog given it's stagnant nature and uncommon release of my random thoughts and emotional garbage, but if you do read this and know it's directed to you, I hope that you two can patch up. PartD10. ------ On a side note, Blood C anime is out, and the anime ed is out. The full version isn't out yet and I'm too lazy to search for it given that my mind is still in a complete mess. Though the CD album art looks pretty damn nice. Hurhur. Paradox. Sunday, July 3, 2011
