So because we live in a smaller, more enclosed environment, we tend to compare more with the next person.
And due to human nature to focus on deficiencies, we see what we're lacking in compared to others.
It's inevitable.
But every time I feel envious of someone, I take a step back and relook at the situation at hand.
Do I have the capacity to achieve the same effect that I have seen, or do I have the resources to be channeled to that area.
Sometimes it's also good to ask if it's good to really channel resources to said area given my current goals.
And then I re-evaluate and move one. I congratulate him/her.
And I aspire to be like that person.
Envy and greed are not necessarily evil if they are met with a response I think.
They are only evil if they're followed by more negative emotions that result in a downward spiral of mental health.
So we go up.
