is it really important?

what's important in your relationship? Personally speaking.. the things that i value in a relationship are love, fidelity, romance, respect, laughter, cooperation, and communication. Although I believe that kissing and hugging and sex are just bonuses... I think they should not be the prime concern of a relationship. But what do you do when it becomes as important as Love?

I'm in trouble when it comes to that area, i must admit. My mind is too tired to focus on the task at hand.. and sometimes, my mind would wander and think of my troubles. I know the thing that I should be thinking about is the pleasure.. the sweat.. the moans and the groans. I don't have any reasonable excuse I guess, I simply suck at doing it. And now, my whole relationship is at the brink of falling apart because I cannot deliver. My partner has vocally pointed out that sex is as important as love to her. It left a mark not only in my heart but in my brain as well. I've been dwelling on it for hours now. This would probably the creme of the crop since our relationship is currently battling with bigger and heavier challenges.

I'm mature enough to accept that there's no such thing as a perfect relationship.. it's just that I never had a clue that my relationship would have trouble when it comes to sex. I can't even make my partner come or clime.. I do feel like a failure and a huge one at that.

I want to cure it. I want to find solution for it.. but my partner stopped believing in me. She stopped believing that we could actually resolve it. This is so depressing.. and I feel like choking myself.

the games that i play

I'm not really a game fanatic.. especially those computer games. The games that I had enjoyed so far was The Sims, and that's because I enjoyed decorating and planning a house. Then, there's runescape, the first web-based online game that i played. Runescape is such a nice game, you get to play with kids (hehehehe),one can kill goblins to their pleasure. But the sad thing about it is that it's not really free. To enjoy everything-- you have to pay for it. It's not much- only $5/month.. but then again, why pay when you can play for free, right?! I thought I was satisfied with runescape-- bullying kids, leveling up my cooking skills, trying to get into the mining guild.. going to and fro varrock, falador, barbarian village.. but then, my latest game came along.. and I LOVEEEEEEEEEEE IT!

I started playing 9 Dragons last weekend.. i went to so much hassle trying to download it, install it and create my character. But it was worth it. The graphics were great... I never thought I could enjoy "action" games. Hehehehe..martial arts at that. =D Try it, you might enjoy it as well... =]

August 8, 2007

I think the end of the world is near. With all the plagues that hit our country (corrupt officials included), the natural catasthrophes like earthquake, endless flooding and sudden breakdown of bridges.. yep.. I think our end is near.

Again, due to heavy rainfall these past two days the sapa overflowed. With only three of us here.. and our great leader gone.. I think we did good with the lifting and all. Although I must admit that for a minute there—I wished nanay was still here.. then she would know what to do and could direct us with our respective responsibilities. I was in panic.. I’m not sure if its too much watching of national geographics or amazing videos.. I just don’t want to end up in one of those. Seeing the water getting too high nor seeing them pass through holes on the wall and on the floor only escalated it.

Thinking about the end of the world makes me think of the things that I have accomplished.. and I then asked myself, have I served my purpose? Have I lived my life according to what was written? Have I lived my life to the fullest? Have I done everything that I wanted to do?

I felt like I haven’t done ALL the things that I wanted to do. I felt like there ā€˜s just so many things yet to be done—and dying now is unfair.

Here I am now.. praying to God to order the rain to stop and quite decided of not reporting to work tomorrow.

Hay ulan.. tumigil ka na.

grief healing

Moments of Reflection

* As you begin this first lesson, take a moment to ponder the quotation below:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Grief will make a new person out of you, if it doesn't kill you in the making."
- Stephanie Ericsson, Companion through the Darkness
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Fellow Traveler,

* As you take the first steps on this grief journey of yours, do you feel as if your destination is unclear?
* Do you know the length of your trip?
* Do you know how long it will take you to get there?

As you find your way through this grief experience, you will discover that there is no right or wrong way to do the work of mourning. There is only your way, and you must discover it for yourself. There is no magic formula, no short cut, and no easy way out. It is as if you are inside a long, winding tunnel whose entrance is closed behind you, and the only way out is through.
Will this awful pain I feel ever end?

Loss creates an emotional wound, but it is an injury that can be healed. With help and understanding, the pain of loss can be transformed into a challenging new beginning, and your grief experience can become a healthy, positive and healing process.
Why not just wait it out?

To make the process of mourning a healing one, you must go through it actively, which means moving through it thoughtfully and deliberately. Expressed grief can be worked with and released, but suppressed grief torments you in ways you cannot control. Healthy, normal mourning is a process of honestly facing the reality of your loss, coming to terms with its impact on your life, learning to access all available resources for recovery, finding meaning in your loss, and continuing to live productively in the years that follow.
How can I go on? ...When so much in my life has changed? ...With no control over any of it?

Every loss is a challenge to grow. But growth requires change, and change is often painful. When a loved one dies, everything changes, including you. Nothing is ever the same again. But you will find that in fact you do have some control, especially over the choices you make. You alone decide whether the changes you face are positive or negative ones. You can choose how you respond to grief and how you let it affect you. You can keep both your memories of the past and your dreams for the future, and you can decide not to give up on yourself and the rest of your life.
What can I expect in the first year of grief?

* Death of a loved one is a highly stressful event, and the first year of bereavement can be especially intense and difficult.
* You must face and live through each of the four seasons for the first time without the presence of your loved one.
* All of the major and secondary losses attached to this death are realized and felt anew as you confront each important holiday, birthday and anniversary - including the first anniversary of the day your loved one died.
* Over and over again, through an entire year's cycle of events, you feel flooded with waves of loss and may fear that you are drowning. Many aspects of life as you knew it are irrevocably changed: your daily schedule, your social life, your roles and responsibilities, your financial situation, your physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

How do I know if what I am feeling is normal?

Certain feelings and reactions in grief are normal, universal and predictable. But how you experience them - and for how long - is uniquely personal and distinct.

Grief is a normal yet highly personal response to loss. Neither an illness nor a pathological condition, it is a natural process that, depending on how it is managed, can lead to healing and personal growth.

Although the experience is unique for each individual, finding your way through it successfully requires some knowledge and understanding of the grief process and the work of mourning.

If you've had little or no experience with bereavement, you may be caught off guard and feel totally unprepared to deal with it when it happens to you. Not knowing what to expect, you may be wondering whether your reactions are normal and dreading what might be coming next.

When you're armed with an understanding of grief, however, and know what feelings and experiences you can normally expect, you are able to face what lies ahead more readily.

my 1000th post

This is my 1000th post here at blogger. In celebrating my 1000th post, I would like to dedicate this space for a special letter to my Nanay.

dear 'nay,

You never left my heart and mind. I think of you constantly... I remember our times together and how you've tagged me along kahit malaki na ako. I miss you terribly 'nay.. the way you kiss me and smell me. The way you were amazed by my stories. You were an avid listener of my wacky stories. I cry everytime I think of you.. my heart breaks everytime I would realize I could never feel the warmth of your embrace or hear your laughter again.

I dreamt of you last night and I never wanted to wake up. I was hoping it was true.. you kissed me and hugged me, it felt wonderful. I miss our laughters and the crazy jokes we shared with each other. I truly wished you never left, it is so hard without you. Everything was harder.. and we never did struggle like this before. You were our strength 'nay. We drew courage from you.. you led us to make the proper decisions.. you and tatay made us who we are today.

Bumili kami ni ate ng laptop.. we keep buying stuff to cover up our loss. And it will never be enough.

I got many plans for us. I grew up thinking and praying to God to give you and tatay long life... pero kinuha ka nya agad. And when you left, parang.. bakit?! Pano na yung mga dreams ko for you? And I would imagine you telling me "Ganun talaga anak, una-una lang yan. Lahat tayo mamamatay." Yet, I still wonder why it had to be you.. Why it had to be now.. ni hindi ka pa nga nakakapagpasarap sa buhay.

We owe you a lot 'nay. Walang kapantay yung serbisyong binigay mo sa amin... kaya nakaksakit ng loob isipin na hindi man lang kami nakapagbayad ng serbisyo sayo. You are so entitled to that. Ngayon palang tayo nagsisimula.. ngayon ka palang babawi.

We miss you a lot. I miss your Afritada, Menudo and Relyenong Bangus. I miss our showers together, our duets, syempre ang pagikot sa Quiapo at Divisoria. I am thankful for you, for having you for my Nanay.. at alam ko naman na alam mo, I am very proud to be your daughter. We love you so much Nanay Aba.

Love,

Onie
