Floating The Virgin River

As we had planned, Brady and I took a little adventure down the Virgin River. The water was so warm and there were some really fun rapids. The only problem we encountered was when we realized we were not going to make it back to our car in time. We ended up having to walk back up stream to the main road. Obviously I didn't do as much planning as I should have, but it was still a lot of fun to float down the river with Brady while getting a nice tan.

There were a few parts of the river that we had to walk through because it was too shallow. At one point my sandal went floating away and I had to make a diving catch to save it.

Brady really enjoyed himself just relaxing in his tube.

FiEsTa FuN

This past Friday Brady and I went to Fiesta Fun to play some miniature golf. There may be a difference of opinion regarding who actually won the match....Brady will say that he won by ten and I believe it was probably a tie. Either way we had a lot of fun!

Virgin River Outing

This Saturday we decided to take a trip to the Toquerville Falls. Well it didn't turn out as we had hoped. We never ended up finding the Falls...apparently they were farther into the mountains than we thought. I guess we will have to try again another time.

We still wanted to enjoy the warm weather so we took a five minute drive over the the Virgin River right by Brady's parents house. It was a ton of fun and there were a lot of people there as well. Brady and Tank went skim boarding at first and then we headed over to the waterfall.

Next weekend we are going to try and float down the river on inner tubes.

The boys spent most of the time in the waterfall.

I kept getting pushed down the river by the current.

Modge Podge Craft

I found this really cool home decoration on a craft blog the other day and I decided to give it a try. It was the first time I ever used modge podge, but I really liked it! I still need to add another paper as a border and frame.....so it is still in progress.

A Day At The Tuacahn Farmer's Market

Brady took me over to the Tuacahn farmer's market today....since it is less than ten minutes away from our apartment. It was so cool to be surrounded by all the red rock in such a secluded area.

This little stream ran the entire length of the farmer's market.

There is this really cool amphitheatre there that has daily performances enclosed by the mountains. Brady and I are going to try and see Tarzan performed there sometime this summer.

We will definitely be coming back here in the near future.

Baseball Draft

This has been a rough couple of days for Brady during the baseball draft. He was hoping to get called up in the first five rounds.....but unfortunately his agent has not called him with any good news. I guess it will be back to home run derby for us until next year. hahahhah

The Ocean

There is this huge red rock in St. George that everyone calls the Ocean. If you climb to the top there is a beautiful view of downtown St. George. Its fun just to bring a blanket and look up at the stars.

Alligator Time

We decided to spice up our pool trip up by bringing inflatable alligators with us. Brady named his Alex the alligator....Tank named his Razor Teeth....and I named mine Barney (after Chris Barney our friend). We looked like little kids playing games on our alligators that we were clearly to big for. There were some other kids at the pool that just kept starring at us...probably because they were jealous of our toys.

We had way too much fun with these blow up toys hahahhah!

MeMoRiAl DaY!

This Memorial day was full of different activities. Saturday evening we visited with Brady's Grandparents and his Uncle John's family. We went to Magleby's for dinner and Coldstone for dessert. Sunday we headed over to church to listen to Brady's cousin Michael speak at church before he leaves for his mission to Brazil. After church we were able to spend time with the rest of Brady's family at Michael's farewell dinner. It was fun to get to know all of the people on the Francis side of the family. We then took a drive over to the cemetery to put flowers at the graves of some of Craig's family members. Then on Monday morning we went to the cemetery with Debbie's family. We then headed back to have a BBQ with the Francis family. It was a fun weekend with lots of good food!!!!
