February Randomness

February was a pretty low key month for us.  We enjoyed some time outside, watched the super bowl with friends, hosted a baby shower, and watched baseball.

My 29th Birthday

This is the last year I will be celebrating my birthday since I turn the big 30 next year.  

Sunday night Brady made me a special dinner and a sprinkle cake (at my request).

Then on my actual birthday, Monday, we went out to dinner at Benihana's.  Kelsey said it was the best restaurant she had ever been too.

Nixon 4 Months

Nixon at 4 Months:

Weight: 15 lbs 9.5 oz (53%)

Height: 25.59 inches (69%)

Head: 16.5 inches (58%)

This kid made some huge changes this past month.

-He rolls over from his back to his stomach, and has mastered pulling his arm out from under him.

-He takes 3 to 4 naps a day usually for an hour to two hours each.  So he basically stays awake for an hour and a half in between each one right now.  He goes to bed at 8:30 pm and wakes up around 7:30 am.

-He loves sucking his hands

-He gives us the best smiles and laughs

-He is obsessed with watching Kelsey ALL the time....he can't focus on eating if she is around.

-He went through a fussy stage for about a week this past month...very unusual for him.

-I'm also pretty sure we are done waking up to eat in the middle of the night. I am crossing my fingers because that would mean I could move back into my own room.

-The biggest change happened after my parents left our house.  We decided to have Nixon move to his crib in his own room.  I also decided I would start sleep training him that same day.  He did great and sleeps so much better.  It only took a few naps for him to learn how to fall asleep on his own.  This has been life changing for Kelsey and I during the day.  Now I put him in his sleep sack, give him a kiss, and lay him down in his crib.  It only takes him 5 to 10 minutes to fall asleep....sometimes even less.

January

January is always my least favorite month of the year, but it actually wasn't too bad this time.  We had a snow day, my parents came to visit, I threw a friend's baby shower, Kelsey and I went on a movie date, we had decent weather for walks, and of course we had a few play dates thrown in there.
