Kelsey is a Sunbeam!

I am so excited that Kelsey is a Sunbeam.  I am not the biggest fan of nursery, so I am glad that is over with.  However, we were a little nervous for how Kelsey would feel about the whole transition.  She is basically the youngest in her class of 9, and her other friends are still in nursery.  We were really surprised when she only had me sit by her for about 2 minutes, and then I told her I was going to leave.  She gave me a thumbs up and didn't cry at all.  I could tell she was still nervous, but she absolutely loved it.  She got her own "Book of Normon" as she calls it, and a CTR ring.  She brings them each week to class.  She is such a teachers pet too...cracks me up.  She has so much to tell us when we pick her up each time.

Mike & Val Visit

My parents came to visit us for a few days this past week.  We went out to eat at Shake Shack, visited Klyde Warren Park, my mom and I got pedicures, played at the park, went to the shooting range, enjoyed the Presidential Inauguration, and visited the new training facility for the Dallas Cowboys.  It's always a nice break to get extra help with the kids when we have visitors.  

Nixon 3 Month

 Nixon is seriously the best.  I mean he does have his moments every now and then, but for the most part he is the most chill baby ever.  He only cries now when he is tired.  He loves his gym and goes crazy hitting everything in it.  He also laughs and smiles all the time....we love it.  He likes to bury his face in your arm to fall asleep, and tries to spit out his pacifier the second you put it in his mouth.  He also likes having his butt patted to fall asleep.

Right now we are on a 2 to 2.5 hour schedule during the day...so hopefully that moves to a 3 hour schedule soon.

Wakes up once; sometimes twice during the night to eat.

2016 Recap

2016 will always be remembered as the year Nixon came to our family.  Since I was pregnant pretty much all of 2016, we didn't do as much traveling as we usually do.  However, we still managed to have quite a bit of fun.
