Mitch Visits

My brother, Mitch, was finally able to come visit us before he leaves for school.

We took him to Top Golf, the pool, and Hutchin's BBQ.  He also had a pretty fun time playing with Kelsey.

St. George 2014

Last week we were able to take a trip to visit Brady's family in St. George.  I really wanted to try the new Waffle Love truck, so that was one of the first things we did.

It was pretty darn good!

Kelsey was not that interested in watching her Dad and Uncle play softball.....I don't blame her.

Of course Brady had to get a round of golf in at Sand Hollow.

We also went on a hike behind Brady's parent's house....this was the best pic we could get.

Downtown St. George has this cute carousel and river play area for the kids.  

The river was one of the coolest things I have ever seen for little kids.  We could have stayed there all day playing in the water.  It was perfect because they had a few really shallow areas for the little babies.

Kelsey was very excited to show off her new trick of pulling herself up on furniture.

The video below is from our trip to visit Brady's Grandparents in Springville.  Long story short; Justin rescued a cat from their window well....only to have the cat hide out in the engine of Debbie's car the next day.  Besides the cat adventure; we had a fun time visiting Grandpa and Grandma Francis.  They were finally able to meet Kelsey for the first time.

It wouldn't be a trip to St. George without eating at the Pizza Factory, and taking a picture by the fire truck for Carter.

There was a massive flood the day before we left.  The video below only shows the beginning of the storm.  It got so bad we had to go inside.  The wonderful storm almost made us miss our flight out of Vegas the next day.  It was crazy!!!!!

A Visit From My Mom

My Mom was finally able to come visit us.....after having to reschedule due to someone breaking their foot (Mom).

We had lots of fun while she was here.  We went out to eat a few times, played at the pool, went shopping, watched a movie at IPic, and of course played with Kelsey.

 I think my Mom read every single book we own to Kelsey.

 There was also a fecal incident that occurred while Kelsey was suppose to be napping.  Sometimes Kelsey wakes up in the middle of her nap and whines or talks to herself before she falls back asleep again.  I assumed that was the reason she was whining in the middle of her nap....it was not.

 I was glad I had an extra set of hands to help me clean the mess up.

My Mom watched Kelsey while Brady and I went out to dinner...apparently they had a good time.

5 Years of Marriage

Brady and I celebrated our 5 Year Anniversary today!

In the past 5 years we have:

Lived in 4 different apartments

Spent approximately 2 weeks apart from each other total

Purchased our first home

Graduated from college

Worked for 11 different companies combined

Lived in 4 different cities & two states

Added a new member to our family-Kelsey was by far the best thing that happened to us these first 5 years!

Since we knew we were going to be flying to Utah on our Anniversary; we decided to celebrate the weekend before.  Brady and I don't get too into anniversaries, but we did think a night out by ourselves was necessary.  We decided to go to P.F. Chang's to celebrate....it was a good choice as always.

8 Months

Things to remember about Kelsey at 8 months:

Needs to know where I am at all times

Smiles so big it looks painful

She is always moving her right hand like she is directing music

Sniffs like a dog when she gets excited

Screams out of pure happiness

Loves to be kissed 

Loves to slap things: water, the floor, herself....

Lifts one leg in the air and balances on her hands and other foot

Doesn't drool that much anymore

Still no teeth

Sucks on your chin and touches your face

Loves to chew on books

Still doesn't like people touching her hands

Can stand up against things

Loves to jump

Isn't really into baby food, but she does like puffs and bread

Has started playing in her crib instead of napping

Still attempts to take 3 naps a day

Sleeps from about 8pm-7am

Crawling: Kelsey gets up on all fours, sticks her butt in the air and walks her legs forward.  She then brings her knees down and falls forward.  It is actually a pretty efficient form of crawling when she gets going fast.  She just started figuring out how to move her arms forward instead of falling forward, but she hasn't mastered it yet.
