Dallas Zoo

Our trip to the Dallas Zoo was very successful!  I was able to accomplish one of my dreams by riding a camel.  Brady was embarrassed at how excited I was to try it out.

Brady's favorite animal is the penguin.  Needless to say we spent quite a while at that exhibit.

This gorilla was pouting in the corner because the animal trainer took the girl gorillas away from him.

The best part of the zoo was the giraffe exhibit.  They allow you to feed and touch the giraffes.

Top Golf

Brady and I have been wanting to try out Top Golf ever since we moved to Texas.  It is only 5 minutes away from our apartment, so we will probably make this a monthly outing. 

Luckily we have awesome friends who decided to tag along with us.  This place is seriously awesome. You get points for hitting the ball on different parts of the green...it is similar to bowling. There are three levels to the entire building, and outdoor heaters to keep you warm....hopefully next time we can golf from the top level.

Mike & Val Visit Texas

My parents came out to visit for a few days at the end of January. It was their first time experiencing Dallas, and I think they had a pretty good time.  Our first stop was downtown Dallas.

Next we went on a tour of the Dallas Cowboy's Stadium.  If you are wondering if my Mother timed herself doing the 40...you would be correct.  She actually did it twice because the first time she was pretending to dodge defenders, so she had to do it a second time to get her real time. My Dad has it on video for proof.

Big Mike actually fit into Jason Witten's jersey perfectly hahaha.

My Aunt Lucy met up with us for dinner at Cantina Laredo.

Of course we had to show my parents our batting cages.

Before taking my parents to the airport we took a quick trip to the Arboretum. The flowers are not in bloom right now, so it was not as beautiful as usual.

Yep, we are pretending to be Charlie's Angels.

I definitely think Texas made a good impression with my parents.  My Mom actually said she would move here just because she likes the gym we go to. Thanks for visiting!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Have I said how much I love living in Texas! This past weekend we had 70' weather, so of course we wanted to be outside.  We decided to just try out the driving range since the boys are not in "golfing shape" yet. Christie and I ended up leaving after our pathetic attempts of swinging and missing.  Shopping sounded much more fun anyways.

Who said pregnant women can't golf....you sure showed them Christie.

We watched the Superbowl at Ray & Jen's place this year.  I was the only one not cheering for the 49ers, but that ended up being ok since they lost.  The best part of the day was getting to hang out with little Riley.  He is my new little friend....not that he has much of a choice only being 3 weeks old.
