House Projects

Basically our Saturdays consist of going to the pool, picking up groceries, Brady working on his lawn, and house projects.  These are a few of our completed projects.

Our entry way was in serious need of some furniture and pictures.  There is a really bad glare on our family picture from the office window, but I was too impatient to wait for the sun to go down to get a good picture.

I am really glad I finally made this family growth chart.  The numbers are actually grey, but they look black in this picture.  My plan is to have Kelsey measured each year on her birthday.  I suppose if we have other children they can use the growth chart as well haha.

Our fireplace mantel is always a work in progress, but this is its current state.

Brady In Washington D.C.

 Brady was able to go to Washington D.C. for a work conference this past week.  He even got the VIP tour from his old mission companion and his wife.  They are both political gurus, so they were perfect tour guides.

Let Freedom Ring

The video below is about a 17 year old LDS girl from N. Dallas who wrote an amazing song called Let Freedom Ring.  Glenn Beck heard her sing it at a high school graduation, and is now promoting it to raise money for our soldiers.  It is an amazing story and song....so watch it!

Brady's 1st Father's Day

Brady's 1st Father's Day was pretty low key, but I think he enjoyed it.

 Kelsey and I made a little craft for her Dad to keep at his desk.  It might not look like much, but getting a 6 month old baby to hold still while you paint her feet is not an easy task.  Luckily I had my friend Megan there to help me with Kelsey's pictures.  All she wanted to do was eat the letters.....I was lucky to get a few shots of her actually looking at the camera.

Happy Father's Day Brady....Kelsey is a lucky little girl!

Mitch's Graduation

I thought I would document Mitch's high school graduation day even though we weren't there with him.

My Dad was able to give Mitch his diploma just like he wanted.

Water Baby

Brady has been wanting to take Kelsey to the swimming pool since the day she was born.  Needless to say he was pretty excited that it finally warmed up around here.

I am pretty sure every baby loves water, so I wasn't surprised that Kelsey enjoyed herself.  I was really proud of her for not drinking the water....I thought that was going to be the first thing she tried to do.

6 Months Old!

Height: 25.75 inches (55%)

Weight: 15 lbs 14.5 oz (50%)

Things to remember about Kelsey at 6 months:

Has learned how to sit up on her own

Has figured out how to roll from her back to her tummy

Has started doing a fake cough for attention

Is SOOO ticklish

Laughs all the time

Loves when you kiss her hands and feet

Loves to practice standing up

Likes to sit on your stomach and bounce from side to side

Rubs her head against you when she is tired

Wants to grab everything

Always has to have something to chew on

Likes to spit bubbles

Likes eating peas

Pulls on her feet

Grabs your face to give you an open mouth kiss

Enjoys sitting in the shopping cart so she can look at everything

She still goes to bed at 8pm and wakes up between 7am-8am

She eats once during the night around 4am

She takes three naps during the day that usually last about two hours each

We taught Kelsey how to pray....

This picture was taken after Kelsey rolled over for the first time.

Aunt Lindsey was able to stop by to see Kelsey while she was in Dallas for a few days.

Kelsey likes hanging out with her Dad because he lets her watch baseball on tv.....her Mom does not.
