Fair Park Aquarium

Yesterday we went to the Aquarium at Fair Park near Downtown Dallas.  I didn't have really high hopes since this is a smaller aquarium, but we ended up having an awesome time.  It wasn't crowded at all which was great considering it was a Saturday afternoon.  There were tons of really cool animals, and you were able to get up close and personal with each one. We will definitely be going back for another visit.

 

The best part of the aquarium was the Sting Ray exhibit. They allow you to buy little shrimp to feed to the sting rays.  Brady and I each had a shrimp, and it was really cool feeling them suck it out of your hand.  There were probably 20 sting rays in the tank, and they would swim right up to your hand so you could touch them.

Kelsey even got in on the action...don't mind my weird stance.

December

Besides all of the holiday celebrations, we had a fun time during the busy month of December.  We visited Pet Smart (way too many times), had play dates, went shopping, and had visitors at the beginning and end of the month.  Here are some random pictures to document.

New Year Party

We went over to the Enlow's house to ring in the New Year.  Actually, we only made it until about 8:30 pm before we had to take Kelsey home.

They did a great job with the party.  There was tons of food, a heated pool for the kids, and plenty of dessert options.  We were even sent home with a bottle of sparkling cider to celebrate.  Maybe next year we will make it until midnight....or get a babysitter.
