August flew by for us. We went to California, I went on a girls trip, and we did lot of swimming. Kelsey actually started swimming on her own the last few weeks. I didn't put her in swim lessons, but I probably will next year. Also, if you can't tell from the pictures.....Kelsey and Nixon are joined at the hip (not by Nixon's choice).
The morning after the wedding we cleaned up the backyard, and then had leftovers from the wedding while Mitch and Amy opened their gifts.
Monday was our last day of the trip, and everyone was gone except my family and my parents. That morning my dad took Brady, Kelsey, and I out to the lake to ride the seadoo. Kelsey had so much fun, and we were surprised how fast she wanted to go. Her favorite part was spinning donuts. Then my dad took Kelsey out to ice cream while Brady and I rode around for a little while longer. We finished off the day with some swimming and dinner at Westside Grill.
It was a very busy trip, but we had a lot of fun. Plus it is always nice to see people you haven't seen in years.
The reception was held in my parent's backyard, and it came together very nicely. After the temple ceremony we headed back to their house and started setting up the tables....we finished just in time for the guests to arrive.
A few things to remember: Kelsey and Ellie danced the entire night, Kelsey stuck her finger in the wedding cake, no one fell in the pool, I only had to kick people out of the house maybe 40 times, someone called the cops on us for being too loud, the dance floor got pretty wild (which we were not expecting without alcohol), and Kelsey threw up in the middle of the night from too much sugar (cake). I put Nixon to bed about an hour into the reception, so I had the rest of the evening to talk to family and friends. We had a lot of fun and are really happy for Mitch and Amy.
Brady and I were married in August of 2009 after meeting at Utah State University. We now live in McKinney, Texas with our three kids Kelsey, Nixon, and Hayes.
