Brady and I were able to go on a couples trip with a few of our friends to Mexico. We had the best time ever, and we can't wait to go back!
THURSDAY
Thursday was mostly a travel day, but we were able to spend the evening enjoying the resort.
FRIDAY
On Friday Brady and I switched rooms so we could be closer to our friends, and I was very glad we did. The hammocks and food were right outside our room. We spent the entire day relaxing at the pool and beach.
SATURDAY
On Saturday we went on our first excursion. We started out on a boat that went over to a sunken ship for snorkeling. Then we headed to a beautiful island that we toured on golf carts. We also stopped to enjoy one of the prettiest beaches I have ever seen.
SUNDAY
On Sunday the boys went fishing so the girls spent the day lounging at the pool.
MONDAY
Monday was an interesting day for us. We wanted to visit a few of the cenotes, but they were about an hour and a half drive from where we were. We didn't want to spend our last day in a van, so we opted to visit a local cenote. After driving for about twenty minutes on a dirt road in a very secluded area.....we finally arrived a Cenote Azul. The cenote looked pretty, but it spelled like sulphur and there were bats everywhere. Right before we made our way down to swim.....I look up and see a bunch of men in military uniforms with large guns walking up to the entrance. We were the only ones visiting this cenote, so I was pretty terrified. They didn't talk to us but they stayed for about twenty minutes just walking around and taking pictures. Once they left.....we left. I was very happy to be alive hahahaha.
We headed back to the hotel for swimming and lunch before taking off on our next excursion. Our last excursion was pretty awesome. We rented mini speed boats that took us out to some amazing snorkeling. I could have snorkeled for hours out there. When we got back to the hotel we hurried to get ready for our final dinner. That night was a Mexican themed dinner, and it was a perfect way to end our trip.
