Its that time of year again. War!
Into the trenches of mud, my merry gentlemen( and ladies if it applies). Over the next few days we fight the vile enemies from Cambridge. They shall die in their muddy trenches with our pens and pencils of steel.
We will finish them and come out victorious! All of us WILL survive. None shall fall and no one else shall take his (or her) place in the line.
This war has been what we have fought for 4 years, some for 5. We will take home the spoils of war and be victors and enjoy the benefits.
We will all sit around a merry table and drink to our hearts content(not wine though), that we won the war of secondary school and will move on. Some will be recalled into service but let us hope not will be recalled this year. Tally ho, merry comrades!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright enough war talk, today I face the Chemistry practical on all soul's day eve. It is unknown how difficult or easy it will be. My friends in shift 1 have landed on the beaches and have reached the trenches. My friends in shift 2 are still on their way to the beaches. I am in shift 3, some would call it the easiest shift. But i shall see the destruction of which was the invasion.
I pray for no leaky burettes or dirty tubes. I pray for a stable hand and an trained eye. I pray i shall get acurrate readings. God please guide me through!

How I do things...

Well today's update is technically showcasing my study area.

This was taken on Monday at church room 03-08. Was studying with Joven and Kevin. This portion here is my part of the room. Observe the two empty coke cans for caffeine to survive. Observe the stacks of prelim papers. Observe the bottle of water. Observe Alfred's school papers in the corner under the stapler.

This here is another view point of the study area from Joven's part of the room. Note the books, the pencil case, file and longman guides. Note Kevin's stuff in the corner.
Below we see the whole study corner, Kevin's portion finially in view. I like this picture the most because above all else.
God is watching us, see the cross.
Well you're probably wondering where are Joven and Kevin, they're behind stacking the chairs while i decided to snap a few shots of the room for remembrance. After the O's i'll look back at these and tell myself what a study freak i really was.
By the way the time was 8pm when i took this. We were there from 2pm. However 6.30 to 8pm was a period of bad timing. Not much work done from that part. Motivation running dry.
I look forward to the 17th of november, the day i'm finally free. I look even more for the 19th. The first sunday after O's, where all the O level peeps will sit down and tell themselves, whew its over...well save those who have art and DNT on the next day after. But otherwise its then time to start my plans into action. The 19th will be my first test of ability. But i hate to think of negative results. The 19th scares me more then the O levels do. Well maybe not so much as the thought of failing but still it scares me.
After the 17th I have a whole lot of things to do. Starting first with the events of the 19th of November. Then i will have to handle the SAF-TASK trialees. Then i have the sec 3 confirmation camp on the 24th. Then i'm going overseas on the 1st of December. Then i come back to carolling pract and carolling itself. Then i will have my saxophone classes to attend, i will have to practice for SAF compies, I'll be getting a job and I have christmas shopping to do. A lot of shit if you ask me. Thats what i call keeping busy...
While I may have finished the O's on the 17th of November, I'd still be busy...i can't think of anyone who would rush home after the final papers on the 20th to study somemore. Thats just...O_O ...-_-. If you know what i mean.
Well today was not productive either, well in the studying way it wasn't. Celebrated mum's birthday today, did'nt get a chance to study so i'm making it up tommorow. I'm going to see Mrs Wee, Mrs Loh and then head down to church at two to study.
Well i don't think i can think of anything more to type out here. So diosa migos.

1 week + 2 days to chem practical. 1 week + 6 days to first "O" level paper.

Now i'm starting to feel worried. Very. Not that i haven't studied at all or anything. Its just impending doom. But ast least i can assure myself...a month from now and i'm a free man. Now being the 22nd, the 22nd in November i'll be already free.

Ok today mass...sounded, ok, i think. So far no screw ups.

Choir practice, abit more uh uh uh today. Some of their behaviour is starting to scare me big time. They've become quite agressive and seem to become very "rushed". I don't mean to point fingers is just that your behaviours are very agressive and cause worry to other people. I hate to mention even though we were reminded that we must not be rude to John. Its not the musicians faults we have to practice with John or whether John wants us to practice then. We are perfectly fine with staying back after carolling as well. Just chill abit alright? Don't flame me or anything but seriously, very aggressive and don't lose your cool just because one of us can't find an intro we don't understand what John wants.

You get angry with us for taking your time? Its not like we wanted to waste your time in the first place. Neither does John, he wants us to play well and for the rest of the choir to sing well. He dosen't pinpoint only one particular section but he pays attention to everybody, musicians and singers alike. Many of you feel that John gives us too much attention but you fail to see how much John still puts in for the singers too. Don't scold us if we don't play well, we learn, we're not infallible people and I'm sure singers are perfectly capable of making mistakes too, some of us may not be as skilled as some of you are but why do make it difficult for people who are weaker? It becomes quite self centered really.

Don't be offended because i don't mean to insult anyone with this. I'm just saying that if anyone from SSC choir were to read this, take what i've said into mind and remember we never wanted to waste your time, there is a reason why we tell John we will work it out with him afterwards. Don't take out your temper on us or me in more particular.

Wait, don't say that as because SSC is a choir, the singers should get more attention, on the contrary, everybody deserves equal attention. You want everyone to sound good, let John work it out with us ,don't grumble and complain. Music should not sound good only in one portion but to be good all round. If someone is not good enough let them get better, getting rid of them or voting them out is more childish and self centered then anything else.

You want to make criticisms? I personally welcome it but make it constructive if its going to be a bunch of senseless critcism which is purely ranting then i would consider it useless. Make it useful so we can improve, by ranting i fail to see how you ever intend on us to become better musicians.

I hope i've made myself clear to every reader, SSC member or not. I have to do my own stuff now.

So we graduated on Friday, big deal. The war's not even started yet and they're saying goodbye. Its not the end yet, on the contrary its just starting.

Tommorow is the bio practical. I have 13 minutes from this moment to enjoy my O level free days before the first written paper hits me.

I took this on friday, during social studies class. Mrs Wee was letting us do our own stuff and i had finished my work and just wanted to have a parting picture of my desk.

In the top left theres my SS work.

In the bottom right there's my social studies guide.

In the background of the picture, theres my pencil case and the back of TZX aka Rainie. Ah BPSS, thou shalt miss thee.

4 years of shitez in BPSS who can forget them all? From the day i stepped in to the day i graduated. From the day i came in a prefect to the day i left as a student councillor. The day i came in a total newbie to teenage life to a 16 year old veteran who's got a taste of politics and got his fingers burnt in it. Things have changed over 4 years but its not the end. Training will go on. After i leave i have another 3 years before i finish my teenage years. Then i shall be a young adult serving NS. I can't imagine life after sec school yet. The life in poly just fascinates me, how i wish i could gurantee myself a place in the course of desire.

Theres no gurantee, once paid for no refunds or exchanges, all goods sold are non transferable.

Sigh 11.52 better go. Waking up early to cram abit more bio incase some of it leaks out in the night. I got to see Mdm Kavi too. As much as she cares about people, i still think there is flaw to her, everyone has a flaw. No one person is perfect. No one person can be all that he or she claims to be...well save Jesus. But us humans, mere mortals , no one is perfect.

Good night and good luck to all O level candidates.

Its been awhile, its wednesday. Rather long since i last posted. Its approaching...very soon it shall be upon us, the sec 4. Its not going to be easy. The wait is killing me and i want to move on with life now. 37 days seem like an eternity. Let time fly faster.

I studied my ass off on monday and tuesday , leaving me with barely any mood left today to do anything but enjoy myself. I should'nt be doing it i know. But i had seriously no mood and was too put off to do any work at all. Tommorow I have an SS test and History test. I'm not worried. I'm just hoping i have enough time to go and finish up what i did'nt do today.

God, help all who are taking major exams, take away the fears and give them strength to do well. Allow us to concentrate and excel in our humanly tasks so that we may serve you divinely.

For the many friends who are taking O levels i pray especially for those who are not doing well, especially those who are in broken families. May god give those in troubled families even more guidance.

Its 37 days, I'm short on motivation, I'm not in a good morale. I need a mood booster. No game will satisfy. Only one thing can satisfy..to satisfy the social desires of the human mind. To interact with a friendly face which cares.

I haven't done much talking to anyone in particular, save Kevin, Daryl, Joven and Mdm Kavitha. I need to talk to someone else. I can't say names here due to personal restrictions on myself. The person is like the high and not the pill. Giving, morale and motivation beyond the wildest dreams. I need a shot. I need one soon.

Ignore me i'm uttering senseless rubbish, even Mdm Kavitha thinks I'm cracking up to exam stress. I can't let myself break like this. BIO IS NEXT WEEK FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! TUESDAY!! Nervous? HELL YES!! Worried? WHAT DO YOU THINK?? Scared? This is starting to get rhetorical, the answer is obvious.

Let time pass fast. Let the time after the exams slow. Make the days crawl after the exams. Speed it now slow it later.
I'm going to sleep..

Today's wedding was alright..but we screwed up and I don't need anyone else to tell us we did. We have to make sure it don't happen again.

The haze has gone from bad to worse. Kev and I have had the front row seats to see it worsen over the week. We noticed it was bad on Wednesday while we were at church. In the afternoon we were in the room and I looked out only to see Sin Ming Ave clouded by haze. Kev went to get a drink and go to the toilet and even the church grounds were hazy. I went out myself and i was stunned. It's gotten so bad over the past few days. I think we're in for some serious shit.

Starting the week
Today is Sunday i will observe the basic rules for the self imposed IRP apart from the school's. For all 5 weekdays unless i can't take it anymore i will be in church to study. English at the start for 45 minutes. Then in the order as required. Math, Chemistry, Biology and humanities. Higher emphasis on Chemistry and Math. Bio is second priority, then humanities. All 5 days of the week i will be studying till i go mad or suffer from Study stress, then i can tell Choi i died from studying too hard ...lol..Just joking.

Just went down to get a pizza from mum while she delivers Sis's letter. I'm seriously wishing the o levels would just end. I hate the study program but i have to live with it. I hate not being able to have enough free time now to do anything during the weekdays.

Sigh anyway.....Wedding next week...a chance to prove myself worthy and earn abit of money. I'm short i can't believe i've been living off Weng Fai's payoffs. Each time he uses my phone to do his betting he pays me $2 - $5. At least that gets me through lunch without too much problems. The problem is under the study program i can't do anything to my lunch expenses. $2 for recess , $2 for lunch for the day ahead. Seriously $4 bucks a day would mean i'm $20 poorer by friday. Studying comes with a price tag...

My weekdays are now fully booked and usually i'm so tired when i get home i barely have time to repack for the next day. At least i don't have to go the distance alone. Kevin, Joven and Daryl make time spent a bit more fun while studying but with a small decrease in efficiency but at least it provides a mood to study in. Studying alone is painful to the ears. The silence is worse then the loudest sounds. The mind gets fuzzy after a while and concentration starts to break and only under conditioning can the mind stay focused. It takes alot to go 8 hours a day and do it alone. Going 6 hours in the company of friends is alot simpler and effective. However as long hours tire the mind and body, effectiveness drops as the week progresses and by friday concentration will be at a low. Saturday and Sunday will thus be rest days for me. Days with minimal study to recuperate and stay effective for the next week.

I'm still waiting for papers from Alfred, Rachel and Joven and possibly Clare as well. I'm seriously running out of time and patience with the TYS is running thin. I hate doing the TYS because its all according to chapters, i prefer doing a full paper. I don't think i want to spend any more cash on books, I've spent over $40 on new revision guides and 5 year series to study with. I've spent a little over $30 on new stationary and replenishing the stock of foolscap and graph paper. This all comes from my own pocket sigh..now i know how painful it is to lose that much money.

I hope next week's paintball session with the choir guys will relieve some of my tension. The pressure is getting to me. By thursday i'm starting to crack.

Under the new regime i've proposed to the guys to increase efficiency, less talking more production. I can't afford to lose any more time. While things will certainly get more boring, i need every bit time and efficiency to get through this. Alive i hope.

Today was nothing much, gave some of my papers to Rachel already, i hope she can get me some of her papers soon. Don't rush it alright? If you still need your papers i understand. Had economical bee hoon for breakfast...again! That place is fast becoming our favourite eating place on sundays. Cheap and cost effective. Had choir pract ended at 11. Practiced wedding stuff with John and Joven. Went for lunch or more like a drink i just watched Joven eat. Went home...got my stuff, did my english essay for the day. "Computers are more of a menace then a blessing"
I wanted to study Math for tommorow's paper but i could'nt bring myself to do it..too tired..too bored. I went to sleep first...woke up at 5, took a cup of coffee, gamed for a little bit to improve my spirit before studying. Although people would tell me its unwise to play a game at all during this time i feel it is mandatory for me to fit in at least an hour a day or i'd probably be dead by the end of the day due to boredom and exhaustion. I'm starting math revision in about 15 minutes time and i intend to end by 11.15. Hopefully.

Other then thatI hope the School's IRP will reap some good benefits with me. If not i can only depend on my progress during my personal IRP. The wait is almost over. The final test is just beyond the horizon. Best to prepare the guns for the last wave. Not too long now till its over but till then...Watch for the future...21:42.

Fans of BF2 rejoice...2142 is just over the horizon...a little trivia...this picture actually hints as to how 2142 occurs....a nuclear war....interesting yes?
