In OTHER news..

Kudos to Aaron to quoting my statement....

"In the future "Hahaha" will be replaced with lollolol"

I've got a memorable quote! HAHAHA

Or should i say LOLOLOLOL :D

Gary wants to do paint ball eh....he's going down...he's going down good!

Gary's about to be prawned! (pwned intentionally misspelled)

Random thought here....I remember that Su Qi couldn't stand me in secondary school...we used to hate each other in sec 1 and 2....somehow we're good friends now...Sec 3 changed it...how the hell did that happen?

.....

but I'm glad it did, cuz now i've got one more friend i can trust for life. :D

Teacher’s Day and in OTHER news

Well today was the teacher's day celebrations across most schools in Singapore. Too bad it doesn't count for polytechnics or universities.

Anyway, today i went back to BPSS to talk to the teachers and to see old friends I guess.

Met alot of familiar faces, including Eoin, Jerome, Su Yin, Yee Ju...too many to count I guess.

I waited for Su Qi to come before going to talk with some of the teachers. Mr Varnan needed help to shift one of the metal cabinets in the HOD room down, so he enlisted Eoin and me to do it since we were loitering around apparently.

After that, I talked with Su Qi and Miss Abraham for a while. After that we decided to go for Lunch. Gave Hui Han a call and we found she was at the Prawning place near her house. So we went over there to sorta join her. Su Qi and I had our lunch there while we watched Hui Han and her family prawn. Su Qi eventually got into the game. Catching a grand total of .....ONE prawn. Big game hunter huh?

Game notice: Lee Su Qi has levelled up a level in prawning.

Well all fun things end and so yeah back at home again.

IN OTHER NEWS

Sunday was pretty ok I guess...church in the morning, gave the usual wake up calls. Joven messaged saying he had to burn the midnight oil for his paper. Sad.

Anyway after mass, Aaron, Gabriel, Nicholas, Daniel and myself went to KFC for breakfast...we were having a good time teasing Gabriel hahaha....since SOMEONE was there...Is.....

Aaron said we had better get back when it started to look like it was gonna rain. So we high tailed back to the choir room (on aaron's word the horde would spawn if the rain started and the choir room was the safe house -_-, LOL)

Prac as usual. Went for a quick hour's game with the MIP boys again and we made our way home.

Brennan came by to my place after meeting with his uncle and Jess.

We talked things over. Faith stuff, Love stuff, Normal stuff and Brotherly stuff...oh the works. Mostly on faith though.

Discussing one's faith is perhaps one of the best ways to test the strength of your faith.

We eventually managed to get Joven to go for an evening mass with us anyway. He came over to my place and we went for the 5.30pm mass.

After mass we went down to Thomson to get Brennan's thumbdrive for his grand escape at his last day at work.

Well we got what we were looking for...

Guitar is fun....good for killing idle time....

What did I do today?

Today....I woke up at 9am...talked to Gary on the phone for 50 minutes discussing what to do for the rest of the day.

We managed to wake up Belinda and we went to eat lunch at a great Japanese restaurant called Irodori.

The food is awesome. Belinda and I had a good time laughing over the names of various food types translated to English....

Finger Press...Hand Roll and Mat roll...rofl...

Well gotta admit the food was good. I only ate that and I'm STILL not hungry.

After that we went over to meet Elisse, Si Hui, Jian Sheng and Li Zhi at Ion and meet the group with Faiezah. We waited outside Taka for a while. Joining us was...Faiezah, Chee Ping, Zul, Henry and Michelle.

We went walking around Taka for a while...we went to see Shannon at Bakerzin.

After that we went to see Sebastian before he had to perform for something...

We split ways for a while. Gary and the rest went to the arcade. Jian Sheng, Li Zhi, Belinda and myself went to Jaben to check out stuff.

After browsing earphones and stuff for a while and discussing how fat Chun Li's thighs were at Challenger while we were watching a street fighter 4 demo video.

We went down to McD's for a drink. Turns out the guys and gals at the arcade decided to eat dinner at McD's.

Dinner was a pretty odd affair...we smacked each other with papers in the fashion of the spoon killer haha...

Following that we went down to Jazz@South Bridge...

We ran into a little problem because 4 of our group are underaged....so what we did....

We shared the love :D, so everyone got what they wanted.

The music was good. There was this group consisting of a Tenor Sax, Double bass, Piano, Drums and Singer. Really interesting. Funky stuff. I like....

Anyway after about 10.30 we decided it was time to go home....

Well at least now I've got something to blog about....Sweet.

Fail...Epic

This post is about de-motivational posters...although not very useful..they are amazingly funny and sometimes do the opposite of demotivation...

Read the boxes closely.....

You know you fail if your thousand dollar rolex has the roman numeral of 3 as IIII..

Whoever placed the TV or the Camera..obviously didn't think hard enough.

and the point was?

So cool that even I wanna learn how to do that.

Laugh if you must. I go now.

I’m still standing

I will never succumb to emoness (and I'm not an emo)

Firstly, when you spend a good few years of your life with people. You'd expect them to remember you.

Though not everyone remembers you good enough....but when you took a special time to help them through, and they still behave like ingrates later...its sorta really pointless...

Life didn't turn out quite the way i wanted it to be.

So screw it.

God knows I've screwed up really good.

At least I'm still here. Still alive. Fully intact with all my limbs. Not a scratch.

Remember your friends even if they don't remember you. There's no telling when anyone's time is up.

Life is fragile. Don't break it.

I didn't know I still had readers.

So excuse me If, i let this be my personal ranting spot (which is rather public, because no one's going to be the perfect recipient for the amount of stuff this brain has to say)

Regards to all.

By the way, I'd like to take this time...to acknowledge the birthdays of NINE friends today.

Thats right. NINE.

Today on the 28th of August

Kexin

Jarvis

Siang Hoon

Aaron Tay

Wen Kai

Amanda Tan

Katherine

Chew Li Ting

Chew Li Ying

Happy birthday.

Its going to be 10pm soon.

Enjoy what's left of your day!

That box there in the corner...

I really wonder....what happens to friends that don't meet up for a long time?

Especially when it seemed that you'd remember each other for a long time.

I really wonder...

Some people who i used to think were right here in the middle ground with me are no longer here.

Its really funny.

Friends who are apart are possibly stuff that you put into boxes like all your old stuff.

You pack em up and forget them and stack them in the corner.

In the simplicity of it, how many people think of every single person in their life?

How often?

Perhaps there's a truth in the fact that nobody will miss you until you're gone.

I don't share kind sentiments with death.

Life can be really unfair to those who try really hard to be all they can be.

Perhaps life really isn't fair to everyone.

Thought about that?

At the end of the day. Nobody wants to be forgotten.

A little hard to follow

The thing about caffeine, it gives you a high. Then it crashes you really bad.

Its the same thing for some other things in life.

Yesterday went for L4D with Philbert and his friend Victor in the afternoon before the concert. We had some pretty good fun. Good zombie blasting action :D

I screwed up my L4D installation on my hd...its like buggered...out of any game to play now. Since L4D is the most engaging I've got (and can play properly given that my laptop is now feeling the stress of age).

The concert was pretty good. I have to say i'm drawn into choral music even further. I'm no music professional but it sounded awesome to me. Forget the fact that the music was hard to appreciate. It sounded good. Those who can't go can go eat a sock.

Pretty entertaining if you asked me.

We finally finished our API testing in the lab...now theres only one thing left to do.......

For lack of anything to do...

Well nothing much to do today. Finished lab stuff by 2pm. Got home at about 3pm and slacked. Candel introduced to me an interesting manga called ½ prince. Pretty amusing stuff to read.

Got alot of new music now. Thanks to the charts of 91.3

I'm really bored....tomorrow long day...

Work by day. Concert by night.....

I wish luck helps...

A Quote from an Old Friend

I couldn't help but notice a personal message from an Old Friend from the secondary school days.

None other than my former classmate Rachel Isabella Charles.

"Sometimes when you're not appreciated, just walk away with a smile instead of anger"

I like this. It means alot.

Sometimes perhaps what you do is not valued by the people you do it for. They laugh and ridicule you. Perhaps without thought of concern. Well, take it in stride, suck it up. If it was made without sensible thinking. Forget it, smile and carry on. Nothing's worth getting angry over, if it wasn't meant to do that.

I need to learn to walk away and forget about the small things. They don't mean anything.

Appreciation comes long after you're gone or no longer providing your service. Nobody wants to have to die to see their work appreciated or their deeds.

Ungrateful some people may be, recognise your own deeds and be satisfied.

For any potential reader. If this post makes little or no sense, fear not. It wasn't meant to be understood. Its just abstract thinking.

Go back to your daily lives.

These fingers won't type another entry today.

It’s been a long day....

And i've been sleeping like log...

I slept really late last night. I think my body is disorientated now because i slept at 4am and woke up at 9.30 to eat breakfast. And then to go back to sleep at 12pm till 6.30.

These are exactly the things that cause sleep disorientation. Sigh....

We teens and young adults...we get too much of this these days, that we get older before our time....what is it with the world that we need to work so hard to live the middle 40 years of our lives and then go back into nothing?

We work for the sake of prosperity for a better future...but the process of getting there...not exactly quite as pleasant..zzz...

In the key of B you're the Flat 7.

God...I hope its real.

A GREAT day

Never in such a long time have I had a day that I'm glad to have had.

This day was the best i've ever had in a long time.

I'll save the details.

Not my day

I can't believe i wasted the whole Saturday away. From day in to day out. I stayed mostly in my room. Kept to myself. I guess its dude to my lack of people to go out with. Everyone's busy studying...

Its a lonely world, when no one even calls, messages or even checks on you.

I guess I have to thank god for some people who brighten my day. Not once not twice. Quite a few times. I guess perhaps there are some good things that have happened these few weeks but I've just been too blinded to see them.

Today no fewer than 5 people talked to me except for people in my family, for reasons because they had something to say whether unimportant or important it doesn't matter.

Lonely life I have I guess?

Maybe its just the times. After the exams all will be better.

The project is coming to an end. Almost done. The project will be expanded but we're really satisfied now.

Time to sleep.

Poker Face

Well not a very interesting day has past but the most interesting highlight was learning to play poker face on guitar like Chris Daughtry does.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqT4VnnEU0M

Its actually very easy comprising of only 4 chords such as...Em, C, G and D.

Pretty simple song once you capo it. Without a capo the song is pretty tough but still playable.

Lazerus is still giving me a pretty good sound. His strings are pretty much set in and not going out of tune. I guess i did it right.

I also realized at Capo 2 , you play Rockstar's chords of E, A , D and E again and do the verse which is E, G, A, C,D x2 and then transition to Poker face with Em,C, G and D.

This sounds pretty cool. Perhaps should try dual tracking and see the result.

I'm that bored hahaha.

Ok time to go to sleep. The E test strips came and we did 14 samples yesterday. Another 14 more to go.

Almost there. ALMOST!

Not a dateline

Perhaps maybe I shouldn't be rushing in my head. There's no rush. There never was.

Take things slowly and things will unravel.

Its not a thick complex layer of opportunities, it's a plains full.

Tomorrow Dr Hsu is coming to the labs to check on Clarice and myself and make sure our work is in order. I'm sure he'll see nothing short of a good progress thus far.

The Etest strips are finally in and we can look to finish the project finally. Now, we just need to hope there's enough Cloxacillin solution to finish this project. We're so close to finishing this I can smell the fresh air at the end of it.

Just a little while more....

8/11/2009 10:19:00 pm

You know you are bored when....

You spend an hour searching for a blog skin.

You spend half an hour modifying it.

You blog about it after that.

8/11/2009 02:54:00 am

Sorta like spamming entries huh?

Looks like this becomes more of a random thought spot rather than a blog.

When your mind makes you do things that you pledge normally not to, its either desperation or loss of control.

The mind makes people do stupid things that perhaps breaks one's own moralities.

I guess this was one of them stupid things.

Its 1.23am and I'm still all shot up because of the coffee.

What a bother -_-

No more online detective work for me zzz

Just in case

Its not H1N1 if anyone's thinking.

I'm just feeling really isolated from the world from the lack of contact beyond the wooden door to this house.

Crabiness not gone yet...zzz....maybe its not boredom. Maybe its frustration.

Isolation

Limited contact with people outside the house for nearly 24 hours. Already feeling the impacts of insanity.

If there was no MSN, No phones and nobody else, i would probably be stabbing myself in complete insanity.

Or perhaps its just that shitty feeling. At the moment i don't know if its the crabbiness or just plain insanity.

Ragh.....I need something to do...bored!

Project Lazerus
What was once a doomed piece of wood, is now given a new lease of life.
Meet Lazerus.

I found this guy with a broken bridge. It was inside a bulky refuse bin downstairs. One day, as i was walking home at night, i told myself, how can someone throw away a perfectly good guitar?

I saw the bridge was broken but i told myself, this can be fixed.

Many months later it wasn't fixed. I eventually took the time to do it.

This is the result.

Secured by two coats of epoxy glue. This guitar has been given a new lease of life (musical anyway)

Restrung by me, this is the first of such a repair i've ever done. I have to say I enjoyed working on it.

Now the next job will be to season the strings till they can stay in tune longer.

Lazerus may find a new owner one day, but for now..he's mine.

New found past time

Today for three hours, i learnt to play 2 and a half songs on the guitar.

I learnt how to play Viva La Vida and the scientist by Cold play by using tabs.

Then by experimentation i figured out the chords to the chorus of Smile by Uncle Kracker. Guitar isn't that easy but its pretty fun!

I seriously need out. There'll only be so much to do before i get really bored and just die from all the monotony...

God give me something new to do!

New highs

Well I can say the past week has brought new highs for me.

It's like euphoria...

The feel good drug...

The kind of thing that empowers broken spirits...

Sigh...Like a drug...it keeps you coming back for more...

I hope i don't become a junkie...

And my speakers just died on me...time to spend cash to get a new 2.1 set...time to go digital...
