Ring around the posie...
Yet another day in the life. There's no easy day but yesterday. Everyday is a new challenge...a new cesspool of sweat and hardwork.

This is life for the next one year...how I'm gonna survive this I don't know but I'm determined to push on for my right to study and be academic! I have pursuits and being locked down does not help at all.

My mind is swirling with thoughts at the moment but for now let's just keep it privy to my own mind for now. This space has gone generally unread for months since my post before last and I'm not expecting it to revive either. Just a place to write to and collate the thoughts.

Today's tasks are incredibly ardous thank god we're only working till 12...sigh ...weekend this way come!!!

The Choices of the rest of our lives
This has been bothering me for a while because it just struck me as I thought about my future after national service..

I will be 21 this year, next year if I fly abroad to study which is 95% probability at the current point. It will take me a year and a half at best to finish my basic degree and another 4 years to finish my post grad medicine course. By then...I'll be 26.

Too young to think about the future? I don't know. When you are 19 and you think about life, most people will shrug it off and say I'm still young and there's still time. But really? How much time is there really? In a small time of 5.5 years how much will change?

The most difficult choices in life always involve two things...love and money. Even in the slightest notion those two are part of our long term life choices. What job do we want? Who do we want to spend our lives with? Should I be saving money? Should I buy that? Perpetual questions that never seem to have an end.

I believe in practicality of things. If you pay for something you should ensure you get your money's worth. The most expensive thing is the most useless when not used to its purpose. In love I believe in practicality too. I don't believe in short term relationships. Hearts are fragile organs. To get together for the now just to break up later even though you already forsee the end because of a predetermined event is quite unfair to both parties. Especailly the one who cares more.

There's a lot on my mind now and I guess the best place to retreat to is to pen it all down. I never thought I'd be back here again...
